[Game Breaking BUG] Dirt Rally: Continue button while looking at friends times.

Recommended Posts

Yet another bug!

I've noticed when I've finished my driving, and choose to look at my time compared to my friends. If I then accidentally push the button that is "continue" (for me, the 'X' button on my wheel), instead of the correct "back" button. A clicking sound will happen in game, and you will still be on the same screen. Now unable to click on anything. Only thing to do now is to get Task Manager fired up, and kill the process - then do the stage/race again.

Not sure of much of this following info that is relevant, but let's go!
System Specs:
MoBo: ASUS X99-Pro
CPU: I7-5820K, 6-core 3,3ghz. Corsair H55 Watercooled.
GPU: ASUS GTX 980 Strix
GPU: ASUS GTX 980 Strix
RAM: Crucial DDR4 2133 MHz 16GB
SSD: Intel 530 Series 120GB
SSD: Crucial M4 128 GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM 2TB
HDD: Western Digital Desktop Green 2TB

- Game on Seagate 2TB, Windows on the Intel 530.

Steps to possibly reproduce:
Any event - Check friend comparison - click on the "continue" button.

Recent History: none and everything.

What Stage: At the end of any stage/race

What did I do?  Have a normal stage/race - compare with friends, clicking "continue".

Session length: 0min - 8hrs

Graphic Settings: Ultra -> tweaked to everything on highest setting, Advanced Dynamics off.

Hi there,
Thank you for bring this to our attention and for the information you have provided.

Can I ask what wheel/controller setup are you currently using?

Using a Logitech G27, mapped the "X" button as continue. Can't remember which number it is. It is the lowest of the 4 black buttons on the gearing box

Hi again,

Could you please send me some screenshots of your current button mapping so that I can mirror your setup, also have you got the Steam overlay switched on or off?

You can send the screenshots to dirtgame@codemasters.com

Thank you
