Im a complete noddy when it comes to updates with patches could someone please explain how I do these updates.......Thanx

I assume you are talking about this latest PC patch, if you are logged into Steam and on line, then Steam will automatically update your game.

no...........Im using a ps4 so does it update automatically if you run the latest update when prompted

Since patch 10/08/15 I now randomly get my screen go into windowed mode and I have to exit and fix (will not alt+enter). has happened during practice so no big deal, but now it has happened at lap 20 in Monaco. hardware_settings_config.xml has changed my screen to 1904 x 1162 (my monitor is 1920 x 1200) and full screen = false.

Yes it does, if you are connected to the internet the game will automatically download the update.

You can also set up for PS4 to update itself and your games overnight if you wish:

Furthermore if you want to check the patch you are currently on press the options button on the game (on the cross media bar front end) then select information. In here it will tell you the version number. Currently PS4 is on 1.03.

Have you tried setting the brake to action inverted? will probably work for your controllers too?

Yep, tried that, and although there was a bit of success, if I let off the throttle it brakes automatically without me even having any input...there is also monumental lockups every time I do that.

At the end of the day, something has gone seriously wrong, as the configuration will not save, especially on the right stick if you have forward for accelerate and back for braking...it just will not save and that is the problem!.

There is nothing wrong with anything else but the game controller configuration itself, and it needs to be addressed ASAP, otherwise I will have no alternative to try and get a refund on my purchase. Obviously this isn't something I want to do, but when you're stuck with a game that you can not play other than use the keyboard (which I might add I am not going to do), then what alternative do I(we) have.

Absolutely agreed. It kinda fixed the problems but when the car is stopped, the rears keep spinning alone, which shows there is a little still something like a little brake applied
