Engine overheating issue on PS4 [with Video]

You're in traffic the whole time. What's it like when there's a clear track?
Same issue, just takes a bit longer. In practice, without any traffic, I can drive maybe half a lap but then its going yellow and then red aswell.

Try a different car, McLaren at Melbourne for example, because I know for definite that's fine.

Since the 3rd patch my engine doesn't go anything other than green. I ran 8 laps in rich and still green.

on the start don't  hold down the throttle for the full duration of the lights to start the race.

Yeah, but that cant be the reason since its not only at the start.

Yeah, but that cant be the reason since its not only at the start.

after the start it gets hot for other reasons like being behind a car and over revving on gear changes..The reason it is getting hot so soon at the start is you over revving your engine while waiting for the lights.During the race your over revving on gear changing.

I dont change gears manually. Here, in this video, I drove in practice and the same happened:

Your driving style is very aggressive. Flying over the grass and hitting other cars. You're slamming down on the throttle. Your driving needs to be much smoother as you're constantly on the limiter, that's why your engine is hot all the time.

I agree, but I didn't have a problem till today.

the first thing you need to do is use manual gears
Im not that much into the game so I think thats too complicated for me, especially since I use the PS4 controller.

Interesting how everyone seems to grasp at straws for what might or might not be the issue, instead of maybe considering that this is in fact a new bug.

Sometimes new patches introduce new bugs, and to me, this looks like one.

But my game is fine. I use automatic gears so there's no need to go manual. I'm at a loss other than driving style.

only bugs I'm seeing post patch is commentary and the fake dots on the track map.

But his game driving style doesn't warrant a overheating engine either.
We need more PS4 players to take a look at that then.

You all need to understand that as part of the fix the engine now behaves differently. It will overheat if you run in traffic or constantly hit the limiter. You musT drive smoothly and in clear air when possible.

its a lot more realistic.

But how is it happening on practice when I use automatic gears?

You're driving style is too aggressive I think. Be much smoother on the throttle. What assist setting do you have for throttle. ?

You mean traction control? I got that on middle.

I've just sat on the grid at max revs and started the race green and stayed green throughout again. Auto gears, 5 consecutive laps rich mix

Must be driving style. Try being a lot smoother in practice. See if it makes a difference because my game is fine and as you can see others are having no issues either.
