Mutiplayer Car Place Issue

・A detailed description of the issue.  

This problem is happen on my friend player.

Let the two events be Incident 1 , Incident 2 and Incident3 , respectively.

1.The position of the car is different from other players' viewpoints.  

2.The cars of other players suddenly appear in different locations. 

3.The positions of other players' cars seem to be acquired correctly, but their cars are not drawn.

PC(Windows), Steam Edition

・What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 

Ver 1.16

・Ranked/Unranked/Leagues

Unranked lobby

・Wired or Wireless Connection?

I don't know because other players are involved

・The amount of players in your session?

Full or close to

・Were you the host?

NO

・Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see?

Only the person involved in the problem

・We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again?

I don't know when it can happen, but it happens multiple times

・How do you make the problem happen?

I don’t know but I think it is network connection issue.

・Can you add a report code. How to find this is in Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > 16 digit code in the bottom left of the screen. Please make sure that this is the code from the session you had the issue in. Adding report codes from as many users in your session as possible would be really helpful here.

I have some Incident2 and Incident3 member error code.

I plan to add some in the future.

involved player name Takashi and kazupon

Takashi is can’t see kazupon. 

But, playername kisuke_CROW is can see kazupon. kisuke_CROW is behind Takashi.

And then Takashi go left side but kazupon is at the left side.

They are hit.

Incident 3 there is connection warning (bars above player car).

The issue would seem to be that a player who is a lap down is not visible to some players? 

Can you confirm whether or not ghosting was enabled in the lobby settings? Did kazupon get blue flags (there is no video from him)?

The problem happens even if it's not a lap down.

And ghosting is enabled.

I’m sorry kazupon isn’t lapdown. I will rewrite it.

Since the content is the same for all, I think that Incident 1 which is easy to check in the video is easy to understand.

The cars are not moving about like lag in incident 1. Do you have the third PoV? It's simple desync by the look of it and can't be replicated. It's unfortunate and in itself is not a bug, because replication is not possible.

I wrote it in the bug report, but I would like you to consider it as an improvement point in the next products or update rather than reporting a bug.

I don't see how this can be quantified, the Internet is a variable (connectionless packet-switched network) there is no way to guard totally against this kind of occurrence. Player location, equipment reliability and local demand/load will all be factors.

Rest assured Codemasters will only seek to improve the netcode as part of the general process. This (as ever) is balanced against user demand for features and underlying technical developments to worldwide infrastructure and comms protocols.

Moved to General Discussion|Suggestions as it is not a quantifiable bug.
