F1 2015 Multiplayer on equal ?

This sounds stupid , but when I play online and the person that has setup the lobby has all cars are equal on the race setup , so before the race starts you have a choice of  USE SETUP or START RACE , I have done both and no difference loool , PS I think its me :P
