Major issue with T-LCM pedals - throttle and clutch get stuck

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi, I use T-LCM pedals connected via USB together with G29 wheel (i don't have a thrustmaster wheel).

The issue is that my pedals randomly "disconnect" from my PC when not only playing, but just testing them in the Calibration Software. The throttle pedal gets stuck at either 0 or 100% and there is nothing I can do. Same goes for the clutch pedal. The brake pedal remains working, though. They don't disconnect completely as the brake pedal remains working and they're visible in the Device Manager. The blue led light at the back is still there. Calibration Software stops detecting them and I have to plug them again. But it works only for a while.

But it happens over and over again.
What I did:
-changed USB ports (I tried all of them - no result)
-replaced the USB cable (they're recognised but no input)
-flashed my BIOS in case it's USB support problem (no result)
-tried different version of Windows 10 (no result)
-I took the whole PC apart and then rebuilt again (no result)

HOWEVER, I tested those pedals on 2 different computers and they worked perfectly fine. So I'm sure it's something related to my PC, but I have no idea.

Please help, I'll appreciate any kind of help. I'm about to freak out 'cause I have no idea what should I do and I can't race. I've literally tried everything.

PC:
AMD Ryzen 5 2600
MOBO MSI B450M mortar
RTX 2060
2x8 GB RAM DDR4

@MateLeLe120
it is very likely your pedals are faulty and something has started to fail, i have seen a few people where similar happens throttle sticks on but a reboot of pedals i.e unplug them and plug them back in gets them working again. also a lot of people have posted in other places and with other games/sims having the same problem

i have also heard where people who have sent tlcm's back for RMA purposes get a set back with different firmware

Problem:
The gas pedal of your T-LCM is working randomly, sometimes gets stuck at 50%, 100%. Disconnect
and reconnect solves the issue but temporarily only.
An update may be necessary. The following steps will help you in this task. Be sure to respect them.
• In case you think you are not able to perform these operations, please contact Support.
• In case you do not notice any improvement at the end of the procedure, please contact
Support.
1- Preparation:
a) Disconnect all your THRUSTMASTER devices
b) In case you have already installed the drivers for a TH8 or a T-LCM in your PC, go to step
d)
c) Go to the webpage https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/th8a-en/ to download
the driver package PACKAGE 2021_TH8RS_1 (for TH8). Install the package.
Restart your PC.
d) Drop the attached file TLCMPEDALS_S32F373_v2_03.tmf in the directory C:\ Program
Files\Guillemot\tmfwupdater\firmware
2- Connect the T-LCM in “boot mode”, for that:
Connect the USB cable to the back of the T-LCM. Press and hold the pairing button and
connect the USB cable to your computer.
The led should be off.
3- Perform the update
Open the TM Firmware Updater program
(available in the directory C:\Program Files\Guillemot\tmfwupdater\ as well)
The firmware version of your T-LCM appears in the “Device” window, and the new one (2.03) in
the “Firmware” window.
Click on “OK” to perform the update and follow instructions.
Click on “OK”. The firmware version in the “Device” window is now 2.03.
Close the program, your T-LCM is now up to date
