I don't know what they are looking at complaining about the graphic. Some tracks came from Grid 2, but they are easily some of the most gorgeous tracks done for a racing game. The graphic is well balanced for the trade off.

I hope XBOX One & PS4 games will only come at 60fps. I believe it's a waste of time to improve the graphic.

Just be sure to ignore the comments section, seriously what a bunch of whining w$&@ers
I wish I had taken your advice and ignored the comments section...
The trouble with that site is once a bandwagon starts for or against, the majority jump on board to get their +1s

Just read that last one there.

Seems like the reviewer must be a sim fan as he talks about it's handling being too forgiving etc, no mention of what controls he used and AI difficulty settings either.

That was the whole point of Grid and Toca..... creating a feeling of great racing while allowing anybody to pick up and play, yet still with enough depth to encourage true mastery for the real petrolheads.

It gives enough "arcade" to be playable and enough "Sim" to require some knowledge of racing to master.

As for the AI itself? I am playing through on Hard atm and the AI is a challenge to beat at this time. the best drivers make very few mistakes, they DO make mistakes and will cause crashes, they will barge each other about unlike the "nose to tail stay on the racing line at all costs" AI from Grid 2.

What IS clear is that the AI will respond in kind.... Hit an AI diver in order to pass them and be warned they WILL return the favour if they catch you, so play nice....:D

What it DOES need is advanced controller settings for ALL types. Been chatting to Eclipse playing in the US and watching his twitch feed

twitch.tv/ieclipsy

He was using Keyboard and a controller and having a horrible time with either but had better luck with the keyboard. This needs fixing fast, Linearity to change the steering, sensitivity etc all help no matter what control input you use.

For me personally? with a good wheel and better than average PC I'm loving the game in every respect. Not everyone will agree but, what they hell, thats life innit?

Yeah, I have been having those problems. With the controller, the slightest touch would make it go from left to right instantly, almost making me spin out instantly (this was with no driver aids on). Didn't even bother to try it with any on.

I mainly ignore reading into pro reviews too much. More important are reviews by people i trust that want the same from the game as me.

That's why your review, Rastus, was almost enough for me to decide whether to buy the game or not.

Now, where are MP reviews?

Dloading the High res pack atm as I didn't have it already lol!

lol

Nice little write up, though. Glad to hear the AI are a challenge. Can you confirm the reservations of some of the reviewers, in that the AI in Touring Cars is good, but it doesn't really carry over into Open Wheelers? For instance, The AI will do crazy first corner dive-ins in Open Wheelers as they do in Touring Cars and crash out instead.

Hope the input problems get sorted for people like ieclipsy...

Well the sparse endurance content is a little disappointing, but the rest of the game looks to make up for that, especially as a lot of the reviews seem to indicate the Touring Car content is significant. Definitely a game I'll be picking up!

(And hopefully Codemasters can address the absence of Le Mans via DLC :D)

6/10

He said the AI is bad. What?
Probably has never played a racing game before
That's not what the reviewer said.
it was just a joke besides he's the only one I've seen that's marked the game negatively
Yeah the AI really isn't bad, I can't speak for Medium or below, but on hard, they will cover their lines, they will try to push you off the track if you let them, they will outbreak you and pass you if you let them. The only issue I have with them is when they are in a close pack they break excessively while trying to avoid each other, slowing the overall pace down.
