An update on the F1 2015 Patches

Hi all,

Just wanted to give you an update on where we are with the patches for F1 2015.

Last week we released a new patch for the PlayStation 4 version, we're really pleased that the changes we've made for the most part all seem to be working as intended though we have a few bugs that still need to be sorted like the blue flag issue and the problem with deadzone on the Dualshock 4 -  we'll have an update on that soon.

The next Xbox One patch we see a lot of the fixes we implemented in the PlayStation version including improvements to the way the hopper system works and other improvements for online racing.

The next PC patch will also include a lot of these fixes and hopefully (providing it's ready in time) the voice recognition which will allow you to talk to your engineer.

I know this may come across as a little vague (hopefully it doesn't) and I know we've been what would appear to be quiet over the last few weeks but we just wanted to assure you that we are reading your posts and working as hard as we can on getting to the bottom of them.

We'll have more info on the next set of patches and full notes very soon.

That's good to here that issues are being fixed. However, we (the community) need to know if features are going to be implemented like the Safety Car, VSC or if the Featured Race will be updated on GP Weekend

3) Fix for Ai teammates by pitting the same lap?

Hi all,

will the next set of patches be that for the game, or will you be continuously patching for a number of months yet?


Whilst the game has several flaws, I appreciate the work being done on patches, and am pleasantly surprised at how quickly the PS4 patches have been coming out.

Please ignore all this guff about safety cars and formation laps and just fix the fundamental issues like online lag & collision detection and all the ridiculous input device bugs.

@justbiglee Are you going to update the design of the Manor like you did with the Mclaren since it has a little blue and sponsors now?

Honestly, why formation lap is so goddamn important? Game doesn't have manual start and every time wheelspin bugs you down if you don't use traction control. That's a big problem in a racing game. The absence of a formation lap isn't.

Would like to know if current problem of not being able to use separate USB pedals will be fixed.

Have HPP precision pedals and with current configuration system I can either steer right and not accelerate or accelerate but not steer right (okay for Nascar not good for F1) as the game wants to map both to x-axis.

That's your opinion, to you maybe not to others maybe it is.
Absolutely but I just don't get it. Formation lap doesn't affect the game, the race. It's just kind of a ritual before the race that makes it all look more like a real thing. And yet to many people it's more important than a real problem affecting race results. For example it is pointless now if you are on pole at the start - you'll lose it as soon as race begins.

1) Would like to see "all" CM listed controllers, wheels and otherwise. work properly with F1 2015 with no workarounds and bug free. 

2) Would like to see Blue Flag/Back Marker issue fixed

3) Would like to see AI aggressiveness kept but unnecessary contact tweaked with penalties dished out to the "offending" driver.

4) Would like to see top priority on any bugs still preventing some drivers from playing this game.

It's too late for safety car and formation lap there are another bugs witch are most important to fix.

Feul glitch all ways occurs after 1online session witch forces people reset game this is a pain in the arse m8 

game seem to pause during online race for 2 3 second then speeds up uncontrolable this is also a pain in the arse

car in front ghosting which could result in major crashes 

assists the causal racer should never be faster than a no assist user which at moment people who use assists are faster than the no assist users 

pads vrs vrs wheels the difference is massive pad have a massive advantage around every track

Track limits keep the cheaters away people purposely using run off areas to improve there times this is crazy I have no idea why people buy f1 if there going to cheat and extend track limits every track needs looking at 

please try and answers us justbiglee as online as major issues all thou your patchs are improving  game play ability we'd like to see more done clearly leagues are unable to start due to these issues !!!



Hi barca9, i agree the issues need to be put right first its the immersion thing that it adds, plenty people shouting for a safety car, i for one agree for the emmersion it adds, but why do we need it until we get marshals on track clearing possible  pitfalls.

Thanks for the update.

Given all the requests out there, I just want to state which ones for me are highest priority:

1. AI teammates pitting on same lap
2. Fastest lap not showing

Also, I'd like to propose some minor tweaks:

1. Increase variation in AI performance
*Same top 10 grid practically every race 
(Merc, then Ferrari, then Williams, then RIC, NAS, SAI, VER)
*Every race there's nothing to split HAM, ROS, VET in pace, then RAI, then Williams, then RIC, as above
2. Update AI performance based on latest form - currently Nasr is too strong, Kvyat too weak - basically AI feels like Melbourne spec

Hello.
Nobody wanted to answer this before the release: Why isnt a splitscreen multiplayer in the game ? Can it be added in a future update ? A lot of people would like to have it. It was  one of the most requested features for f1 2011 because f1 2010 didnt have it.

SC will come next year NOT this year.cost to much 2 patch it in.
