Muted engine sounds?

Recommended Posts

Last night when I did a good amount of stages I noticed the engine sounds dropped off after the first few turns if each stage. Like it's just lost the dynamic range all of a sudden. The 306 and M3 lost that aggressive mean sound they had at the start line.

I use dash cam. Also tried to verify the files in steam but no luck.

After about 25 seconds the engine sound suddenly get's lower.

I have the same thing happening.
At first I thought it only happened in dash cam, but I have noticed it in head cam as well.
Hopefully it's related to the missing gravel sounds, and will be addressed in the next update?

Try remapping the clutch. That solved the problem for me!

Thanks!
I'll give it a try after work.
Question: did you have to remap it to another button?
The reason I'm asking is because I'm using G27 pedals with Bodnar cable, and i'd hate to have to remap the clutch to something other than the clutch pedal.

Nope, I just remapped it to the same pedal. The clutch ;)

Let me know if it worked.

Yup!
Worked like a charm.
Thanks bogani!
Never would have occurred to me to remap the clutch to fix a sound issue, lol.

A gentleman on twitter told me to try using keyboard instead of wheel which then forced me to remap the clutch when I got back to my wherl  :#
