I propose the creation of a full qualification mode, with Q1, Q2 and Q3 reduced by approximately 1/2 to 2/3 of the time. Thus, the first session would have 10 minutes, the second 8 minutes and the third 6 minutes. There may be a change in these times or even a customization by the host.

Qualifying in Q1, Q2 and Q3 is much more realistic than the single shot or the short mode, however, as it is not possible to customize it, it is very time-consuming and little used. It is difficult for players to face 1 hour of qualifying and 1 hour of racing.
The short 18-minute session does not reflect the reality of Formula 1, as the driver has 3-4 attempts to make a quick lap, always putting fuel to a minimum and returning to the pits to go out again.

We have a league in which we choose to carry out the reduced qualification (according to the suggestion), with the pilots manually abandoning the session. It was very interesting, behold, the player has to go to the track already with the strategy in mind and running the risk of adopting it. Also, if he doesn't do a good lap (or cancel it), or still try to do session 2 with a medium tire instead of a soft one, he may not be able to go to the next session, which makes the dispute much more interesting.

I could see a OSQ working as a short knockout / jeopardy method. If leagues fail to get a full lobby you could vote to skip Q1 and / or Q2 for lobbies smaller than 15 or smaller than 10.

It's a good idea too.
