[XBOX Series X] Logitech G923 LSB, RSB, +, - Buttons not working

Recommended Posts

Hi,

  • A detailed description of the issue.
I have selected the Logitech G923 setup from settings menu.
I cant bind any function to the wheel buttons like LSB, RSB, +, etc.
It looks like the wheel is not recognized by the game.
PS: The wheel is working OK on other games like ACC, but not on this one.

Hi,

We might have the same problem. Can you please check the screenshot? Wheel is working but whenever I try to bind buttons on settings, no luck. I press the buttons for mapping but the game refuses to take the input and relative fields stay as "Waiting for input" indefinetely. Do you have the same problem?

PAD don't have Logitech G923 Buttons LSB, RSB, +, etc.

Only has the X, Y, B and Y and those are working.

LSB and RSB are the buttons when you push down the joysticks.

The weel has more buttons, +, -, a small weel with enter input.

Cant map or use them.

It's a bug, because the buttons are full functional on ACC.

Makes no sense at all, that console players pay much more for the same game and have less features available.

It's disapointing that a AAA dont have proper support for the most common wheels on the market.

The diferente for ACC that costs 1/3 of F1 game is huge: Trueforce is there (you can feel the engine, the grip, alll...) and all buttons are available for best user expirience.

F1 gaming licence decision should have this considered since it's top racing sport and the developers that have the licence, are spending more time making in game shops than giving proper driving expirience to players.

Hi All,

Those extra controls on the G923 are outside of the standard Xbox wheel specification (as are the RPM LEDs).  We have enabled those functions as part of the Trueforce SDK, but that means that they can only work if the developer supports Trueforce.  Currently, F1 2021 does not support Trueforce, so those extra functions are not available in the Xbox version of the game.

Does this apply to LSB/RSB on g920 too, or are we simply never going to be able to use these buttons in this game? Xbox controllers have left and right stick 'buttons' and they work as intended if racing with controller, but for some reason not on the wheel??

O believe you LogiUK, but should have been in the development plan from the start, since it's a AAA racing game that has a very expensive licence.

Should not be hard, since other games on XBOX support those features.

Asseto Corsa Competizion do an amazing Job with Logitech Trueforce and this game shoul be no diferent.

I can understand that it didn't work on F1 2020 since the G923 just came out, but F1 2021 should have full support. What should I do? Sell it and buy a supported one? Which one is really fully supported? Because the G923 is in the list but apparently they forgot to mention that is not fully supported, so it can be the case for many others. Disappointing.

@HatarezThe same situation exists for all Xbox-compatible wheels and for other makes and models there is no solution at all, so a different wheel won't help.  We'll keep working with Codemasters to see if Trueforce support can be enabled and get those other features online as part of it.

Does it work on PC?

That's good news.

After playing games with Trueforce enable it's hard to go back to the stone age of force feedback.

Force feedback on this game looks dated.

@HatarezAbsolutely - the restrictions that are in the Xbox specification do not apply on PC, so all of the buttons can be used already, even if a title doesn't support Trueforce.

Please fix the FFB issue with GHub as it's causing the userbase to revert to LGS. Codemasters need to qualify that support for G29/G920/G923 is only via GHub.

This is a known issue with Xbox, not only with the Logitech wheel, but with all other brands as well. Just a standard set of buttons, that's all and the rest are duplicates (throttle/brake) (allthough Logitech found a way to fix it for 2020 with an extra SDK) Correct me if I'm wrong @LogiUK
