Phew! What a relief this week has been – as we can finally reveal everything the DIRT 5 team has been working on in recent weeks…

Yesterday we unveiled the biggest ever update for DIRT 5, since its launch last November, which will be rolling out on July 20. Our summer of thrills kicks into a higher gear with the Super Size Content Pack, Parts Unknown Playgrounds Update, and Update 5.00!

The Super Size pack delivers more content at no additional cost for Amplified and Year One Edition players, and Standard Edition players can also grab the pack from online stores next week. We’ve squeezed in four huge cars – the Bentley Continental GT Ice Race Car, Rezvani Tank, Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Baja Concept, and Armada Rock Racer – alongside a new Career chapter with 27 events, more Sponsors and fresh customisation items. Told you it was huge!

Everything else dropping next week is completely free to all players, including the Parts Unknown Playgrounds Pack, featuring new space-themed items to create out-of-this-world arena with. Also, look out for more Achievements/Trophies, more iconic liveries, new ways to get more out of Playgrounds (more on that here) and an update on PS5 to further enhance the game’s haptic feedback use. Oh, and we almost forgot… how about two brand new tracks to enjoy? Head to Brazil to tear up a pair of ocean-side Land Rush tracks.

We have so much more to show you before July 20, including 4K gameplay of the new cars and tracks. Follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our YouTube channel to make sure you don’t miss a thing. Roll on next Tuesday!

– Chris

Hello everyone, PJ back again (remember me?) for a quick rally update.

As I write this, Jon Armstrong and Phil Hall are in Estonia making final preparations for the third round of the 2021 FIA Junior WRC season. We took the win in Croatia and despite some rapid pace had a DNF in Portugal, so we’re looking to score some big points on the Estonian gravel.

Here’s some words from Jon ahead of the rally:

“I’m really looking forward to the third round of Junior WRC. It has been a strong start to the season for the team, Phil, and I. It has probably been stronger than we had expected. But Estonia is probably going to be the biggest challenge for us and a lot of the drivers were there last year and will have done the stages. Our plan is to just go there, do the best job possible, and see where we end up at the end of the rally. To be honest that has been our motto this season.

“It helped going to Rally Poland last month to drive a Rally3 car on the fast roads there. It was important to get back on the fast, wide roads that you have in places like Poland and Estonia”

I’ll be getting updates from our ‘man on the ground’ throughout the weekend, and sharing them with you all in the usual places (follow DiRT wherever you get your news). A good result here should put the team back in championship contention, so here’s hoping.

I’ll be back in two weeks to let you know how they got on. In the meantime, there’s some Devon Butler dude who’s been running his mouth in the F1 paddock recently, so it’s time to put him in his place…

This year, Racing Ahead and EA’s GameChangers program have teamed up to form the ultimate content creator, well, team. Since videos and streams have been going up this week, creators around the world have shared well over 200 videos, generating over 3 million views in the first 24 hours. On YouTube, Aarava, Tiametmarduk, ROBBIE, Galax, DJ Mariio and DaveGaming have all enjoyed spells in Gaming trending tabs across Europe.

Over on Twitch, over 42,000 of you tuned in simultaneously on Tuesday evening to watch the F1® 2021 Celebrity Race Off: Silverstone on the official Formula 1 Twitch account, as well as other streamers playing the game. During that time, Racing Ahead creator THOMB managed to run a 24-hour livestream all by himself, raising a bunch of money for mental health charity – Mind – an incredible effort from him.

Who have you been watching on YouTube and Twitch so far?
