Does Dev Team planning to make Turkish Circuit on F1 2022 ? İt's a great circuit to race.

If it happens to be in the F1 2022 official calendar, they might. If it's not, they won't. They're not going to make circuits if they're not required by licence because of the amount of work that goes into making a circuit, no matter how fun they are. Otherwise we'd have the Nordschleife by now. 😁

Can someone from Codemaster confirm whether after Performance Update also "Equal performance" will be impacted, meaning that we'll need to change our setups for online/equal racing as well?

Thanks

Its likely that you might need to change something after the handling model tweak..

Will there be both Safety cars, or will the aston martin replace the mercedes SC?

Both, it'll be available at select circuits

Trigger the Safety Car in the following races, and you’ll see the special green Aston Martin Vantage leading the pack:

  • Bahrain
  • Monaco
  • Canada
  • France
  • Great Britain
  • Netherlands
  • Singapore
  • Russia
  • Japan
  • Australia
  • Saudi Arabia (when added in game)
  • Abu Dhabi

  • The title was changed to Portimao: Out Now ✅ • Imola: October • Jeddah: November

I was going to ask how Codemasters feel about doing tracks only for 1 game but now I read a rumor from a reliable source (Dieter Rencken) that Imola will stay on for 2022. Saudi Arabia's contract runs for at least 10 years so Jeddah will stay until Qiddiya is ready to host the race.

And Portimao is heavily rumored to replace Barcelona on the calendar. So less work for Codemasters (no Barcelona T10 update needed).

So Portimao added as a track, not integrated in a career mode? We will have 20 races per career, not 23?

just managed to get home and launch the game - portimao added to new career so we have 21 races now.

a very good step from codies, many thanks guys!

I hope this is true as i really love Imola and think Codemasters work should not be wasted! (Adding the tracks)

Cracking vid @PJTierneywill deffo be taking some of these tips and trying them out when I give it a go next time. Will these track guides come when the other 2 tracks are released?

If this one gets decent numbers (and it looks like it might), I'd like to do similar guides for Imola and Jeddah when the time comes 🙂

Just realised.... codemasters been alittle clever... toning down curbs and changing handling model.   Before releasing Imola... because iirc Imola has monster curbs...  and Imola  would turn old curb debate into full blown riot.... Imola is a riot

I predict a riot🎼 I predict a riot🎼

Not sure if anyone will know the answer to this, but are the new tracks added to the current career/my team season if you've not reached that far in the calendar or do you always have to wait until the next season?

Next season when you build the calendar.

It'd be nice if there was a Christmas present of Turkey, given that the UK restrictions are lifting and it's likely to go ahead. Just port the one from GRID Autosport 😄 (yeah, I know it's not that easy!)

even if they would plan it, they might not have the time to finish the work until christmas.
Maybe christmas 2022 😄

tracks like Jeddah likely have not yet been laser scanned and probably wont be until race weekend so im guessing a month or 2 after actual race

Tracks like cars are designed, built and tested virtually before they are implemented IRL. Tilke.de website normally lists the projects as they progress through build phase. Notwithstanding the final track artifacts and FIA sign off, tracks should make it to be game before race debuts. But there is no reason why a track like Imola shouldn’t be in the game NOW!  Imola is in Project CARS, which if I’m not mistaken is studio owned, yes?

Project Cars was made with a different game engine.

So it's solely a matter of importing the track assets and that's it, new track?

I am the reason project cars is now Codemasters 😁 My very first post on here on the grid forum in 2019

was a drunken rant about project cars before Codemasters swept in... 🙄 it was that drunken I refuse to read it again as I think I embarrassed myself quite abit

Have you seen Imola from Project Cars? It's horribly outdated. Also, all the track-side objects like crowd NPCs, trucks, cars, marshall posts etc. are reusable assets that are shared between tracks in F1 2021, so none of these assets from Project Cars could be used anyway. The only thing that's useable is the track geometry and maybe some track textures, which, like I said, are very outdated. You'll have to trust that if there was a faster way of doing things Codemasters would already have done it.

Imola was in project cars 1 so would assume they have just carried it over... thereby it being out off date

Not enough diesel for the not enough truck drivers, so Turkey looks a bit flat. Like the CO2 cannisters.

Best mate works for a Fuels company part owned by greenergy.

Basically lorry drivers that transport fuels and other hazardous materials.  Obviously Have to have advanced qualification.  Basically they get the big bucks.  He says the only reason there is a shortage off drivers is because off panic buyers.  If no one panicked there would be plenty off fuel so much so it would free up some drivers to transport other other really important stuff like McDonald’s milkshakes 😁

I know this has nothing to do with your comment but you made me think off it🙄😍
