How difficult is it to get corner cutting right??
all 4 wheels off? Warning!
3 corner cuts? Penalty!

Sometimes the results that you see in game aren't actually from the cause that you would naturally expect, there is usually much more at work behind the scenes than that depending on how the systems have been built and interact with each other.

In the case of corner cutting, the severity of the warning/penalty could be an easy change, but the criteria that triggers it might be a lot more difficult to change. The team is still looking into this, but one initial concern that was raised with it was that it might require a change to the circuit resource files. Rebuilding 17gb of circuit files to adjust the severity of corner cutting is a massive task, so at the moment we're letting the team investigate this further and hoping that they come up with a more reasonable solution. Which is another reason why specific corners where it is a big issue can help us, if we can isolate and fix a single corner, without rebuilding the circuit, then we can replicate that fix to other corners.

I would prefer to spend 70€ every year in this game and 100gb wight that 70€ in that actual game that don´t change cutting corners never. The best example... Ascari. I thought the other day the sausages in that corner will make me jump, but not, I cut as quick I could and I get extra time to win...

If its 17gb, 40gb or 100gb, fixed and give to as a game that we could make really good online competitions as we have been doing those years ago...

If you want an example of what 4 wheels off the track is (and it penalizes) use the same criteria online as TT 2013.. 4 wheels off, nule time or 1/3 Driver through if it´s in a race...

PD: Where is the safety car and Drive through penalties online?

While not perfect the corner cutting system on the previous 2 iterations of the game were at least work aroundable where leagues just ran reduced rules and removed any unfair penaltys. So just get the game back to that state would be a start. But all of that is irrelevant if you still have an unplayable multiplayer!!! And despite 2 posts asking @Dnote what codies plan to do about this he has not replied despite having replied to many other posts! So that leads me to believe that codies are gona do precisely F##k all about it and we the loyal consumer have wasted our money and can go swing!!! Mad with this company don't even begin to describe my feelings.
Or, it could be that I'm marketing and therefore lack the technical knowledge of the game or the patch to be able to answer such a question immediately and was merely waiting for a response from our network programmers.

There are various network fixes in the "other fixes" which we haven't called out specifically as each one is relatively minor but the combination of them all together should improve things. In addition to that the team are still working on improving multiplayer performance across all platforms.

Same at Monza, turn 1. I watched a video of a buddy who cut across it passing 4 cars in the process and got a 3 second penalty. That was less than the time gained through the cut let alone the positions made.

Thanks, I've passed those specific corners onto the dev team and hopefully that will help them figure out a solution to it.

@Dnote ok that's fair enough you'll have to excuse my impatience but with codies history of non-communication it's easy to jump to conclusions.Lets all hope these network fixes improve the game.

Is the 'F1 Super Hero' achievement fixed in this update?
We're talking to Microsoft about this, from our investigations we've been unable to identify any problems in our code or communications with the platform, which suggests it could be an issue on their end. We'll have to wait and see how this pans out, joint investigations can be time consuming at best, simply from communications delays, but as we've mentioned elsewhere, this is a very busy time of year for the first parties.
THEN WHY RELEASE IT??? If it's so time consuming that the CONSUMERS have to wait for it to be playable, it shouldn't have been put on sale. It's dishonourable and must be a PR disaster for CM.
I can't tell you how frustrating these excuses are.
its just not acceptable on so many levels mate. Surely you personally can see that?
We were promised mid season updates and loads of other things, all we've got is an unplayable game since release and been told to wait indefinitely till it's playable. I moved from the 360 to The One solely for this game (£400) based on lies that you told us prerelease. That's why people are so angry with you at CM.

Although I understand peoples frustrations I can't agree that the game is unplayable except in its online format. I've had some fantastic racing with the AI so far, replicating each week of the real F1 season. Yes there are annoying issues but nothing that is making it unplayable for me. Guess I've just been lucky.

I think you're reading to much into my comment. Any work between multiple companies in different time zones is always more time consuming than if it was all done internally at one company in one location. However, this only relates to an achievement bug, which we've been unable to narrow down on our end, not all issues we're working on.

We have no magic excuse for the state of the game at launch, or the time it is taking to fix outstanding issues. We obviously didn't plan for it to be this way, but what's done is done and we working on changing that and ensuring it doesn't happen again in the future. Nothing we say will change your opinion or make things right, so we'll just focus on fixing the game.

One thing worries me: I did not see a mention of the AI aggressiveness being fixed in this patch. I've been waiting for 2 months now for the damn AI to be fixed so that I don't get constantly bumped off the track during race day. I can run practices and qualifying just fine with my car matching the AI's pace (or nearly) on every straight. But come race day and it's like they're easily 10-20 KM/h faster than me on every straight. As soon as I reach a corner, BAM!! They forcefully take me out of the racing line, sending me into the gravel (or side board) while they continue on their merry way... No damage to their car, no penalty either...

I'm really hoping i'm wrong and this fix is included...

(XBOX ONE) Hello, I talk about the multiplayer! I honestly do not understand, why in recent years has increasingly worsened, the first games were made better, as the behavior of the car over the curbs and penalty system circuit !! We are also waiting for us a patch that solves some problems to make a championship Online !! Right now it is impossible ,, Many Lag, cars waiting you box, curbs very low and do not create problems when the steps above, then most of the riders size or enlarges the curve and does not take even a Drive Trough !! there's the replay then control who plays good or bad is impossible unless a judge to put to tender watching the race live, but it is already difficult to play in 12 and more people in the room and put more quality room gets worse !!
I understand that rewriting circuits is a very difficult thing, but at the same time do not understand, because the circuits are almost always the same, have worsened rather than improving !!
You have to understand that the customer of your game, is a fan of F1 and want a game, very close to reality !! with the transition to the next-gen it was expected a good game from the point graphic (and it is) but also best done on the system of cuts and curve with a multiplayer done well and for the moment it is not !! :(

I feel compelled to voice some support to this game as reading on here it just seems to be constantly bombarded with negative comments. I can understand people's frustration and more so with the online elements as I personally do not play my racing games online. But I think it is unfair just how much people are hating on the game. As another member said previously it is not unplayable and I have enjoyed my time on it albeit the small issues. Which most games have these days on release.  It's a fact. They are working to a deadline dates out of there control. I think sometimes people need to appreciate how much work goes into these games as well as all the little things. I think there is much to like and enjoy in F1 2015 regardless. I own all the previous F1 titles. Forza 5&6 and Project Cars and haven't thought for a second. "Oh well not playing F1 2015 anymore, it's rubbish compared" Because it simply isn't. The feel, Atmosphere and sensation of racing is all there with really appreciative detail. It's just a shame that people let the technical bugs overshadow what is at its core a really good game that lets me and I'm sure many other's indulge in our passion of F1 racing.

We'll said and couldn't agree more I am playing offline with the PS4 and just the controller racing full practice qualifying and races and I am gaving a great time on it

Of course you guys would think that. You're only playing 1 side of the game...
I'm complaining about the game as a whole.
Multiplayer is a big deal for me. I like league racing. It's more fun and engaging.
AOR has postponed its F1 leagues, and you can't even get people to compete in social races. I can't create a race! I can't join a friend's race. Online is dead!!
Single player is ok, but I regularly see the pitlane bugs that take the Mercedes out the race. I want a real person reacting to moves.
This game just feels like Time Trial with AI obstacles.
Theres no progression, stat tracking career modes. No authenticity with Safety Cars or Virtual Safety car... Setups only load in TT, there's just too many mistakes and bugs. It's a half-assed game!!
Dont defend them with deadlines, all jobs have deadlines. You plan things better and manage the project! That's no excuse!!
Codemasters dropped the ball with this game! 3/10 for me!
.... And where's out digital updates???

You can have fun bouncing a ball on the ground for 5 minutes, doesn't make it a great game!
You have to admit, as a package, a game in the year 2015 on a new gen of consoles, and after 6 iterations of this game. F1 2015 is just crap!
It's not crap. Look, if you have a really old house and you want to renovate it, do you just build on top of it? Or would you tear parts of it down to rebuild it? And once you tear it down, you might find that you have to redo the foundations, etc... This is how game development works. It's not a finite art. It's more like a puzzle that's constantly evolving and changing.

F1 2015 is far from perfect, but the core game, the racing is sound. Now they need to refine it. That's not something that can be done immediately and with so many different platforms to contend with, the problems are compounded. I just hope the Xbox One patch finally takes away the most glaring problems away, namely the AI race day behaviour as the game is basically unplayable OFFLINE, nevermind ONLINE where more often than not you have to contend with morons that think F1 = Bumper Carts on steroids... And that's something that sadly can't be fixed with a patch! :p

People often come on here to moan in general. When you work in customer support most of the time all you ever get is people complaining. There may be a few people on here who don't like the game, but my bet is there are a few hundred thousand who do.

One thing I've noticed is that normally there are many many people complaining about the handling. For F1 2015 there appears to be very little complaints about the handling, so they seem to have got that right.

Multiplayer is a big shame (it's not something I'm interested in either) but I think part of the problem is that moving to the new platform was difficult. If you look back there are many many games, racing games amongst them that have had problems in the mulitplayer. Driveclub had them. PCars has had them. I think CM will sort them out, because they have to if they want to continue making games on the console, but it could take some time. The real issue is that you can't test multiplayer until the game is released.

Still playing catch up on a lot of things, but, the patch has passed submission, we're just waiting on confirmation of when it will go live from Microsoft. Should be later today.
