Recommended Posts

@Dnote What about fastest lap not showing on the OSD during races? @justbiglee told us this was going to be included in the 'next' patch last month...

Are you f*****g kidding me. Do whatever the hell you want to the rest of the game but if you don't fix the DS4 deadzone then how are we supposed to drive.

This game has been sat on my shelf for somewhere between 1 and 2 months now and it's ridiculous.

This is a driving game, the driving is the fundamental part of the game. Why have you spent this long on a patch, and not fixed the single most crucial thing that's stopping the game being playable. Something that interestingly enough wasn't broken on release or with 1.02.

Also you even stated in a previous post the DS4 deadzone was being looked and analysed for the future patch.

At least answer this because it is absolutely ridiculous. I can still play the game with all the other bugs (as annoying as they are). This issue makes it unplayable. Please comment.

omg, this can't be happening... really? The pad deadzone isn't fixed? There is like a priority list you've got to follow to keep people playing this game. Make sure people are able to drive properly (I appreciate all the work on the wheels because I think they deserve that, but don't leave the pads out... I don't know the numbers of players, but I can imagine pad is still more popular, not that it matters on itself, just fix both as priority), then make sure the game is playable (iron out all of the bugs that are in it; you are working on that and I'm happy about that, I don't really mind it either (as long as you're working on it) as long as I can drive properly with a pad, the fun is totally gone out of driving atm because of this and I actually liked this game a lot from the start...) and please only do cosmetics and stuff if you've got a perfect game to start with.

Just make a priority for fixing pad deadzone, something that was fine before last patch, I guess it's not that easy as reverting it back but do something about it... As I said, there is way less fun in the game with this and also, we wouldn't be crying about it if we don't wanna play the game

Fixed the G29 brake issue.

So I may be able to actually play this game yet. It's been sitting on the shelf for two months now.

Same here. I wish all of us "patient sheep" that we will finally be able to start playing this game. However I doubt it. What will the fixed G29 brake issue mean for you if AI will still be faster on straights !? Guys let's keep fingers crossed for a Happy End

I still thought the actual steering was way too light when I tried it. Maybe that's an option I've missed?

To be honest though the AI was always crap in this game, I'll only be using it in time trail mode to see if I can get close to the pole times when actual F1 races are running.

@Dnote ,I have a t300rs and the freeze game bug which happens on and offline basically ruins my race, as you nearly always stove it in the wall. Is this fixed?

Also, Does this update allow us to set pedal travel? because the game brake is at 100% after about 1/3rd of actual foot travel. My pedals are bob on too when I test them on the pc calibrator.

Lastly, is online still being worked on.

  • Unlocked Advanced Wheel Settings for all controllers

@Dnote does this mean motion control is enabled for the PS4 controller?

@Dnote, Is it enabled?
Motion control isn't enabled with this.

@Dnote Hi mate, one of the major issues is the freezing bug that has plagued wheel users. There is no specific mention on the list to this fix. Can you please confirm whether or not this has been added to the patch? Cheers
This requires a firmware update from Sony which should be coming soon.

The patch should now be live.

@Dnote Why should I waste time downloading it for a game I too haven't played since 1.02 came out if you haven't fixed the dual shock 4 deadzone?

Can you give a straight yes or no answer please as to whether it's fixed or not?

@Dnote. Are there plans to implement motion control for the DS4 anytime soon?

That's the point, Codemasters wants less people playing their game. Less people playing, means leases people complaining.  Less people complaining, means Codemaster employees can go home thinking they did a "great" job with this years game.

@jinCHEZ  I think the issue is fixed.  Patch went just live, the handling feels a bit different now and you can adjust the advanced wheel settings in the menu for the dualshock controller in the menu includind deadzone, steering sensitivity etc. Haven't messed with the settings yet but the handling feels great to me

uhm I haven't done many hopper sessions in the past, but isn't there supposed to be more than 1 option for each "category". I guess it's just a little stupid bug that won't affect many, but I noticed it and wonder about it. I got like an arrow thingie that tells me I can move to the right but there isn't anything there, only 1 option for each category. Just wondering, nothing major ^^

I didn't check the settings itself yet, but there was no difference in starting up, I'll check it out now!

nope, nope nope nope, nope nope nope nope... xD I did find the settings and they were all on 0, however, the same little deadzone is still there on the steering at least. The test I used to do still gives the same result so there is still more deadzone than there was in the start of the game, wether the handling has actually changed for controllers I can't say yet, but as I said, I did actually test already without knowing there were these "settings" thing and I didn't notice anything different while back when the 3rd patch came, I instantly noticed a deadzone before anyone on the forums or whatever talked about it, so I doubt anything actually changed
