PS4 - Patch Notes 23/09/15

seem to be good for the moment :

brake pedal deadzone issue for my wheel fixed.
best lap osd in race work sometimes , but penalty and advertises osd disappeared after 2 races (i retry tomorrow)
no freeze screen after 8 races (sprint 3 laps)
but in the last session i don't know why my car have prime tyres and the others option, so i loose 1 second per lap.

Hat off to you codemasters for the patch but, what about the other bugs that no one else has even noticed. 
• In one shot qualy online. Choosing
primes for qualy, it puts you back on options for the race. ( parc ferme off ) does not let you change it either. Probable even the same in short qualy. 
• AI not using rich mix for qualy ( all modes ) 
• AI still using standard setups ( 6-6 wing ) 
• Stupid 2 second freeze glitch ( all modes ) 
• With collisions off AI still drive as though as it is on. 
• Certain AI teammates being patheticly slow. 
• With parc ferme off you still can not choose what tires you want etc. 
• Corner cutting. 
I am sure there is more.

If you are using a PS4 control pad and slow compared to the AI/they have faster cars. Your R2 button is broken! I had this and you wouldn't realize, it works and seems fine but its not pressing down enough or something. Switched to a new controller and I was over 3 seconds faster per lap around Monza just because I was actually putting my foot down enough with a fully working controller.

Oh and you can test if your controller is broken or not. Go to options, change the throttle layout to the analog sticks and see if you reach a higher top speed with the sticks.

"this requires a firmware update from sony"... what a joke!! T300rs works fine with projects cars and driveclub, there is no freeze glitch, why??

Another patch release, another main feature broken. Online completely broken now. I tell you what, don't effin bother next year!! pathetic. This game is now going to be sold and another customers lost!

Tested with my T300 + F1. Absolutely no difference except that cars on straights doesn't seem to overtake that easy. Nevertheless feeling with the wheel is still not existing.
I'm really disappointed about waiting for weeks and finally there's nothing done for the wheel drivers.
Oh please send "Gran Turismo 7" for me....... o:)

Regarding the T300 wheel screen freeze, I also find the need for a firmware update from Sony confusing. It works fine with all my other games and isn't the driver for the wheel done by Thrustmaster not Sony?

Would really like and appreciate more information for Codemasters regarding this.

I have the t500 with Ferrari wheel. Upgraded the firmware and started a championship. Before the race my crew chose strategy 1, which is fine but all of the tires were the "option" .  Not sure if this is an okd or new bug.

It's really frustrating that bugs still occur and our input wasn't considered.
Since release in summer we're more or less in daily exchange about bugs. At this point we shold be in discussions about how to squeeze the last tenth out of the cars.
I doubt that we will ever be able to play this game as it should be. We have been waiting for this patch for weeks and the result is unfruitful.
In another post someone wrote why the pay attention on some of the negligible bugs while focus should be on more important issues like steering, handling........ just overall driving. Hey, it's a racing game and the main purpose is about steering high tech over a circuit.....
What a disaster....... I'm between waiting for more patches or just selling to someone more patient.... And of course ...... thinking about buying game of next year or not. Hope that GT7 will be available Start 2016 so I can easily refuse buying F1 2016 from CM.......

    • the new patch seems to have affected handling not so much the wheel but the PAD is extremely overpowered compared to the wheel where i use no assist around japan i can do 1 35.6  but my m8 since the new patch came out on the pad is managing to do 1 33.5 this is taking the monkey tbh and needs addressing where everyone is on a equal level


    All of the above needs urgent addressing for multiplayer/online it is unplayable for me now due to these glitches bugs  the new patch as made as made the game worse please address these issue asap online leagues have no chance of running!!


    you ve had 3 months almost to fix the game which you are failing to do you are creating new bugs/glitches every time you patch the game also whats with the patchs all for single player who plays championship mode?
    i would say 85% of the community play online which is *********   and unplayable after 1 online session!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


How do you know this about pads being better than wheels? How did you test it? From all my tests wheels are pretty equal to pads and since the pad deadzone I would even say a bit better, I don't notice a lot of (or any) difference in the handling since this patch for pad mate ;)

Again, explain how you tested it? You already did Japan with him and he gained all this time because of this patch? Also, which platform are you? and last but not least, please don't consider yourself better than another (I even doubt you're faster than me but that's not the point)

Also PS4; no changes in the relation between wheels and pads here for now... Maybe you had setup or fuel bug? That's what I meant with testing as I don't know your conditions, but I didn't mean to offend you in any way.

I guess I'll keep on playing hoping pad deadzone is fixed anytime soon...

It was the williams drivers in a quick race in russia. Maybe it's much rarer now. I'll have to start a new championship and test it.

Unfortunately I can confirm, that the frame-rate drops or even freezes when using a Thrustmaster T300RS + Ferrari F1 Add-On weren't fixed. I tried for example yesterday a few time trial laps on Monza and it did freeze every couple of laps for 1-2 seconds, which is disappointing. This was at Force Feedback settings - 100% for all 3 parameters. If I drop down the environmental effects to 0% and Wheel Weight to 70%, it doesn't happen that frequently, but it's just sad to see, that you shouldn't feel much, to obtain an acceptable frame-rate.

As I mentioned before the freezing issue requires an update from Sony, but it did also require an update from us which is in the patch. It is a two sided change, so once Sony have done their part it will be fine and it is an issue exclusive to our game at the moment.

@Douglas01. The reduction to the number of hoppers was deliberate. This was something we did a while ago on PC and overlooked adding it to the patch notes for PS4 and Xbox One, we'll rectify that shortly. The idea was that less hoppers would make it more likely people would find a game and that the game would have more players.

@mfluder it is sometimes correct for both cars to pit on the same lap, a change in the weather or if one of the cars is damaged for example.

ok , but now there's no 25% or 50% (with assists) , i can play only sprint races with a limited number of tracks or the special race feature , nothing more !
please add more tracks or a random system for sprint hoppers, or add a single 25% hopper with random choice between the 19 tracks.

i don't know who take that décision but it will not be employee of the month.
