PS4 - Patch Notes 23/09/15

Recommended Posts

@danevs85 You're correct, this was changed via a file you download each time you boot the game before this patch was released. It seemed to be causing confusion for some people so we wanted to clarify that this is a decision we made and not a bug. That's the key piece of information here.

@jinCHEZ and @Douglas01. The reduction to the number of hoppers was deliberate. This was something we did a while ago on PC and overlooked adding it to the patch notes for PS4 and Xbox One, we'll rectify that shortly. The idea was that less hoppers would make it more likely people would find a game and that the game would have more players.

@mfluder it is sometimes correct for both cars to pit on the same lap, a change in the weather or if one of the cars is damaged for example.

They both seemed to be running fine before the stop and there was no wing change or anything. Weather was clear.

i just play this afternoon and find new bugs after the last patch

- got a yellow flag in the 1st race and he stay incrusted in the screen 8 races ago even if i change the lobby session.
- best lap time osd work only one time per race in the first lap
- the penalty and advertise work only in 1st race, after that he disappears and you know only by your engineer if you take a penalty.

like i said in another thread the more bugs they try to fix the more new bugs they create in that game.

@Lozzy @Dnote Last patch was very useful and a lot of bugs were addressed. But two bugs remain:
- strange rubber stripes left on tarmac in every replay;
 - IA engine sounds still very high compared to player's one;
- no graphic indication for drivers in knock out zones in qualifying standings.

After the new patch my rear brakes are locking with G29, even using ABS, how can I adjust that now that we cannot adjust brake balance in the setup?

Also, is there any tutorial for advanced wheels settings?

thanks

Since the patch, I have noticed the extended rumble within the DS4 controller on acceleration from corners on slicks, yet with Inters on, the rumble seems more extended on acceleration (not tried with wets, yet).  I feel it would be much better if the rumble would be continuous throughout a race, to compliment the vibration seen in the car.....any chance of that CM?

A1 drivers are more responsive at moving over now with blue light warnings, to the extent I fear for their lives as some virtually fly off the track to let you through. LOL

Also, it would be great to see the tyres visibly degrade to match the wear as indicated in the 'Damage' HUD display. I hope this can be added at some stage, CM

But the most pleasing thing, is the correct commentary for Practice, Qualifying and Race finish positions.  I was really getting sick of Hamilton this and that, and Ricciardo this and that, as well as Red Bull having a great day, when it never applied.  Hallelujah!!  :)

After the patch the brakes are much better on the G29, so thanks for that, but I am getting wheel disconnections about 5 times in a 15 lap race. Are any other G29 users getting this? I want to know if my wheel is faulty or if it is a problem with the game. I didn't have any disconnections before the latest patch.

While I am on the topic of the G29, does anyone else get double upshifts frequently with one upshift of the paddle? This happened a lot on the previous patch and has happened twice since the latest patch. Once again I don't know if my wheel is faulty or if it is game related??

There are still problems in Qualifying. For example I believe Will Stevens is a little too fast he needs to be slowed by a couple or three tenths of a second.
And drivers such as Kvyat just refuse to go out on the Option tyres to get out of Q1.
There are more problems in Qualifying too, I was playing as Raikkonen in Mexico and both Mercedes and Vettel were running on Prime tyres in Q2. This just never would happen. As they would have to start the race on them.
i feel also that the Honda engine needs to be less powerful at Rich mix, but only slightly. Also what needs implementing more is the cutting in power that Alonso and Button experience down a straight that is a largish medium or long.
I wish also that the Livery of the McLaren should be different if you choose to race in Australia, Malaysia, China or Bahrain.

Force feedback in all thrustmaster wheels is drastically reduced. T300 have to increase those to 100% to feel any force T500 somewhere between 70 - 90% Pre patch we were at 50% and it was ok Also cars rear end is sliding all around. Different cars. Tougher to drive and can easily end a race for someone Other than that, all is ok

@Dnote any chance you're able to publish the list of bugs being worked on for the next patch for PS4 so we know what the Devs are now concentrating on?

btw, patch was awesome thanks - hearing the correct commentary, whilst largely cosmetic has made a huge difference.

Is it likely we will have the opportunity to have some tweaks/additions made to the game before F1 2016?

i.e -

show gravel on tyres when going off track
Manual pit-lane control (at least in part)
more complicated race-start procedure

cheers

there was no future patch on ps4 , it's finish for this year , you need to prepare your money to give them next year !
and the devs are concentrating on the coffee machine and on the clock to go home faster, nothing more.

ps : sorry if i'm sarcastic but i'm angry about the online options that disappeared.

I have got this since the game first came out. If you are locking the rears then while you are on track shift the brake balance to the front and if locking the fronts stick it on the rears. That should help.

@Dnote   ONLINE/MULTIPLAYER is officially COOKED f*&ked!!!!!!!!!!! bugged!!!!!
  • only seems to happen with t300 where screen freezes and then releases and speeds up
  • fuel glitch where you seem to have a full tank during quali
  • fuel glitch no matter what you can not able to adjust fuel during quali this is when you lucky not to have full tank
  • unable to change setup during quali this happens if you have been in a race prior to the lobby you have joined
  • tyre bug where tyre seem to be 85 worn for start of race this is a new bug since latest patch awful
  • unable to change starting tyre if qualified outside top ten
  • if you quali on primes it dont matter cos everyone starts on options no matter what
  • PADS this need sorting compared to wheel users the pads are massively over powered compared to wheel users!
  • corner cutting extending track limits what can i say did a child make this game ffs
  • MULTIPLAYER HOPPER please revert to the previous custom lobbys give the community what we want

  • All of the above needs urgent addressing for multiplayer/online it is unplayable for me now due to these glitches bugs  the new patch as made as made the game worse please address these issue asap online leagues have no chance of running!!

you ve had 3 months almost to fix the game which you are failing to do you are creating new bugs/glitches every time you patch the game also whats with the patchs all for single player who plays championship mode?
i would say 85% of the community play online which is *********   and unplayable after 1 online session!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

danev85,

The fuel glitch doesn't happen as long as you restart the game, annoying yes but at least no glitch.
T300 screen freezes very annoying yes, accepted/confirmed!
Personally I've never not been able to adjust fuel mix
Changing setups in quell prior to new lobby, restart lobby invitee the others back. Annoying yes.
Tyre wear at start of race probably correct because there was a parc firm glitch in last patch, so thats probably actually correct.
Starting tyre-dont qualify outside the top ten!! lol
Pads are not massively overpowered to wheels if you play with people who respect the track limits, racing in open lobbies with people who have no respect for track limits is opening yourself to misleading lap times from most players, wheel or pad.
Corner cutting penalties needs addressing yes!

Good day.

Some points I don't know if you agree,

- G29 every time that I start a new quick race the controller doesn't work properly, I have to restart PS4 to work and still blocking rear brakes,
- Where are the options to set brake balance and ride height?
- Curbs are supposed to be attacked specially in Monza but I always get that alert,
- During practices and qualifying cars exiting or returning pit are supposed to leave space for those who are on their flying laps and AI cars are still hitting my car from behind.

Regards

I have a strange problem when changing controls. After 1st day patch there was no problem but after other patches the problem appeared.

- Changing steering from left stick to left control-keys

When going in the race to the quick menu, for example to choose a differint tyre strategy. The menu goes automaticly to aero.

Its unpossible to enter the tyre or fuel menu option. Every key goes to changing aero.

When leaving the steering on default (left stick) this problem doesn't appear

Only after changing control keys

I know this has been mentioned before but I'll mention it again anyway.
some cars ie the Two Mercedes and Ferrari's are running Primes in Q2, THIS WOULD NOT HAPPEN! How long have Codemasters been making F1 now yet they have allowed this to happen.
And I believe that the sessions shouldn't end when the clock hits zero, because all cars should be allowed to finish their lap first then that's when it should cut off not as soon as the clock hits 0:00

Hi just done update, now the game is unplayable, I have auto gearbox and it won't change gear!! Unless in do it manually, I went into options put it on manual then went in again and put it back to auto, but it's incredibly sluggish, starts in 2nd gear jumps gears, when I put it to first it stays in first!! I'm nearly 7 seconds off the pace! Deleted my save profile, still the same! Very disappointing, any help would be great?! On ps4 what has happened

Whose idea was it to remove all the hoppers? Surely a 25% or 50% hopper with assists and equal performance are essential for an online F1 game? Will you bring them back?

Bug Report for Codemasters

Ps4 - Multiplayer

Some cars starts the qualify with 99.9% of fuel load and in when return in garage for reset the load, have 93.0%... for me also when it signs the correct value, sometimes the car is too heavy. In two session with same setup and same fuel load, my car have 2 seconds difference. Please, check it of next patch. Thank you!
