I read somewhere they have two dev teams working on the F1 franchise every two years. It's not necessarily a bad thing or good depending on your opinion. For example (2019 for 2021) (2018 for 2020) It would explain why functions in one game are different from another.

Ok, but Point 1: they definitely had F1 2020 as a base game for 2021, you can see that at many points of the game. SO they decide to let these options out of F1 2021.

Point 2: In F1 2019 many of the loadingscreen-optins were missing too at release. Many players complaint about this, so in one of the first patches they edited them into the game. 2 Years later, the same dev-team are thinking "hey, maybe its a good idea the cut these options out of the game again".

Its a shame that you have to stick to an AI-level for a session, unable to change it and restart the session. So you maybe have to drive a qauly or a race in Championchips (Carrer and MyTeam-Mode) with the AI way to fast, or way to slow, and you have to sacrifice this session. In every racinggame nowadays you have the chance to restart a session or a whole racing-weekend and change the difficulty-level.

ok, Codemasters brought out the second patch. So far, so good.

But why do we still have to wait for Codemasters to put two simple functions back into the game, especially after F1 2020 had these functions.

Function 1: Tuggle Driver-transfers to mid-season an after a season, only after a season or completly off.

Function 2: Change settings like AI-difficulty, Weather etc. on loadingscreen before going to a track.

Both games, F1 2020 AND F1 2021 use the same engine, so I dont see a reason why it would be impossible to put these options in F1 2021.

I Still cant understant they cut it out of the game after 2020.

Option/Function 1 Toggle would be sweet!  No reason not to have it.  Get going on this Codemasters!

Probably an unintended consequence of what @Chromatic said. Even yearly franchises usually have a rotation of inside dev teams at the helm. Features like split screen multiplayer, coop career mode, braking point etc are usually the result of a 2-3 year development cycle.

In the passing of the baton it's normal that some minor features may be neglected or forgotten. They're probably slotted somewhere in the patch pipeline to be reintroduced, but these things are not a "all hands on deck" kind of project. Different tasks are assigned different priorities and allotted to the devs. Hopefully soon these things will be ironed out.

PS4/Grand Prix/Medium length/Car Damage off/MFD hidden yes: Tyre Wear repeatedly popping up unrequested after few laps.

Only way to get rid of them: MFD opacity 0%. Meaning no more MFD visible even when activated. :classic_laugh:

Same here on PS4. Super annoying as I also have an issue where the game graphics get laggy when the MFD is open. Not ideal to be cycling through the MFD to put it away when trying to concentrate on racing…

Worth noting that we're not even on 1.1 yet, these patches are mostly hotfixes for the core issues either causing crashes or otherwise making game modes unusable to a good chunk of the playerbase.

It pops up when a tyre reaches 20% wear, 40%, 60% and so on. Part of the fix showing wear on the MFD. A little annoying, I'd rather it pop up for actual damage. I wouldn't consider tyre wear damage.

If someone would be surprised about F1 racing causing tyre wear, let us hope that person hasn’t elected to buy this game…

The point is nobody is, and so we don't need the MFD to keep popping up to tell us!
