@BarryBL no, i don’t have vaccines.

Huh? I asked if you used the software Bitdefender.

Where can I find crash dumps, dxdiags, save files and hardware setting files?

How to find a crash dump

·         Browse to the folder where you have Steam installed, usually this will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

·         Browse to the userdata folder and Search for *.zip or browse to through the numbered directories to the relevant remote directory. (Might want to be more clear on the process for this as it implies very hit and miss directions)

·         You should find a file named something like crash_dump#76561198061784954.zip

·         Make sure you add this to your completed bug report

How to find your DXDiag

·         Press the [Windows]+[R] keys on your keyboard to bring up the Run command.

·         In the "Run" command box, type in dxdiag and press <Enter>. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool pop-up window should appear.

·         Click on "Save all Information."

·         Make sure you add this to your completed bug report

How to find your in-game hardware settings file

·         Browse to your hard drive where windows in installed

·         Browse to "...\Documents\My Games\F1 2021\"

·         Right click on the hardwaresettings folder select Send To -> Compressed (zipped) folder

·         Make sure you add this to your completed bug report

@BarryBLi uploaded my crash dumps, dxdiags, and hardware setting. check please.

From your dumps, you have a GPU crash.

Please troubleshoot by:
  • Deleting the hardware_settings_config.xml file in Documents\My Games\F1 2021\hardwaresettings and then booting the game
  • Updating your graphics drivers, as they are slightly out of date.

@BarryBLno. i don't have a video for this. because it's just crashing in main menu, setting menu, or just after the intro scene(press any button scene).

and i tried to change the settings you reccomended, and i succeeded to change my setup like texture streaming,rt_shadows, rt_reflections, screen space reflections.

even though i finished that setup, it still crashed in setting menu.

but seriously, why it doesn't work in version 1.07? i mean, when it first released in version 1.00, there was no problem from 1.00 to 1.06. in full graphic usage settings.  but after i updated to 1.07, why gpu usage became massive? can you guys promise me to solve this gpu problem in 1.08?

i know my pc config is not the best. but i don't think this config can cause a gpu problem in normal situation.

Something seems amiss here, are you running with any mods at all? Have you verified the integrity of your Steam files.  Did you update your graphics drivers too, as they are out of date.

Unfortunately, I cannot promise anything at this time, as the setup is subjective. We added things into the patch at 1.07 to improve stability. I'll get the devs to take another look at your dumps.

A new Nvidia driver has just been downloaded today, which may help.

Could also try setting a lower resolution in the hardware_settings_config.xml. And maybe switching to a different AA setting and lowering the anisotropic filtering setting. We are struggling for ideas however, as it seems that the GPU is still the reason for the crash.

@BarryBL

First, i have no mods at all.

Second, i already check integrity on my files on steam, and it said every file is correct.

Third, i was running on latest graphics drivers for my graphic card.

Forth, i downloaded lastest grphics card(v.471.96). and it crashed after i pressed start screen(press to start) menu.

and here is crashlog file.

@BarryBL this is one of the worst experience since i bought my first f1 game,f1 2017.

honestly, i just give up on this problem. nothing improves, it just crash and crash and crash. i love this series, and formula 1, but this is just so disappointing.

Apologies for this @GT3RS834

I'm currently seeing if I can borrow some additional resource internally to take a look at your problem. Will update you when I can.

Could we get the full machine specs including the PSU. Randomly crashing like that could be related to your power supply. Do you have have issues running anything else on your system at all?

Also, can you confirm you have tried:

  • Running in safe mode
  • Steam file integrity check
  • Game re-installation (to a standard file location if not doing so already)
  • Running with a single monitor
  • Disabling any other running software (particularly performance profiling software or AV programs)
  • Removing all peripherals
  • Getting latest Windows updates
  • Full DDU reinstallation of GFX drivers
  • Disabling on -board GPU
  • Disabling GeForce Experience

@BarryBLthe only thing i know about my psu is 600w.

and i only have this 21:9 29inch 2560x1080 monitor. and my gfx card setting is performance.

here is my dxdiag, and HWINFO which @steviejay69recommended.

and i already deleted my game. i had so much stress because of this problem. which means i don't want to try this game before update arrives.

i know fixing glitch is hard, but i hope you guys to fix in 1.10.

@steviejay69@BarryBL so.. which psu you recommend? honestly, if i can send my computer to you guys, i would.

i formatted my computer again, and it crashed at the start, but this time, more than 90% crashed with no ego bumps.

and is there way to commuicate more directly?(like facebook message,or instagram Dm) i really want to communicate instantly.

and this is the only ego bump crash existing.
