Safety Car

Recommended Posts

i think this game is worthless without Safety Car, CM are you adding Safety Car to F1 2015? because it is more realistic with Safety Car added into the game.
Also F1 2014 is way better then F1 2015, no doubt about that, just add Safety Car into F1 2015 and you'll make every one happy.

I'll hope you reply to this and give is some information about the "Safety Car not added into F1 2015".

Thank you!

"Safety Car: This is a significant amount of work, which touches on many systems within the game that are active during a race. Implementing it into F1 2015 just isn’t feasible with the time that we have and the risk involved with how much it could break."

Now if only people could stop fucking asking about it...

...Now if only people could stop fucking asking about it...

The more people who ask about it, the more CodeMasters may (hopefully) realize that cutting important features from future games will have a significant impact on their public reception.

Yeah, kinda like how they finally implemented realistic damage and mechanical failures, just like a few people have asked them to do so over the years... Oh, wait.

It just boggles my mind people seem to think Codemasters don't know about us wanting to have the safety car feature. Of course they know. Just like about realistic damage and careerer mode.

And as much as I want all this things, tell me, when was the last time Codemasters added any substantial feature AFTER the release of one of their F1 games?

You're right, but times change and we live in the age of DLC.  Codemasters are missing a trick with their old-school corporate mentality.  If they didn't have time during the main development period then why not release DLC during the season?  God knows the sport itself is constantly evolving.  A game based on a sport that's at the bleeding edge of technology should reflect this.  The days of charging a lump sum at the beginning of each year are over.  I think the F1 game developers know this, but their hands are tied by CM's obsolete corporate structure.  The people over at SMS are making a killing.

DLC won't work either. It's bad enough as it is on the forum but can you just imagine if they then go and put a career mode as DLC to pay for? Plus, since it's an annual game, there's next to no point in DLC. Might as well just wait a few more months and have it in the next game with it being better tested. ( I can almost hear the usual crowd bleating about bugs as I type that  ).

As much as I agree with what you said I hope they continue to fix the game which I can't see happening now due to the lack of response in general With DLC they could do a FIFA and re-release it every year.  It's frustrating these guy's make their games like the Formula 1 in real life one year good the other not

DLC won't work..

It seems like Bungie has virtually redesigned & rebuilt Destiny entirely through DLC/updates.

...can you just imagine if they then go and put a career mode as DLC to pay for?...

It wouldn't have to be paid DLC. CodeMasters released a free Demolition Derby add-on mode for Grid AutoSport.

...since it's an annual game, there's next to no point in DLC...

Call of Duty demonstrates otherwise.

(Granted, CodeMasters & their games are nowhere near as "big" as triple-A behemoths like Destiny & CoD, but the concepts have indeed proved do-able.)

True, Destiny proved it's possible. But bear in mind how long after the standard game that Taken King came out (About the same time, maybe a little less that you'd expect a sequel out). Not to mention the fact it's the same price as a new game. It is essentially a new game just built onto the original rather than a DLC (A lazy sequel?). Call of Duty DLC's are just map packs though right? (I have no idea- I don't follow that series at all so if I'm wrong completely disregard this next bit) They don't change the game as such rather just add more of the same to it. A safety car, for example, would require recoding every track and the AI, essentially changing a huge amount of the game. Plus you've probably answered yourself there why CM can't/won't do it.

In an ideal world, just updating a single F1 game with new seasons and features and giving it continuous support would be better than an annual release. But going by 2014, I imagine that breaches their contract somehow by not releasing a new one.

I think it's fair to say the original question has been answered. We're aware how much some people want the Safety Car back in F1.
