DiRT Rally Cheats

Recommended Posts

Interesting. He'll cheat with R4's but not the 70's. I've seen him on a couple leaderboards in Sweden with the 70's class, he's not cheating there.

Or he's just too bad at driving them.

Maybe he drove the 70's times before he figured out the cheats. And maybe is now banned from racenet so he cannot go better his 70's times.

Here's he's only fifth because somebody cheated more:

Nothing is obvious apparently

There are bad drivers, good drivers, great drivers, bad cheats, good cheats, subtle cheats & blatant cheats.
No one knows who is what, or where the boundaries lie anymore.

Whats disappointing, is that cheats now feel safe, untouchable.  Which is unfortunate, as they get comfortable and try to belittle other players.

Being a driver, I appreciate the experience the game successfully delivers, I appreciate that far too much to turn it into Dirt 3.

Paul likened producing this game to rearing speciality Beef.  He has put his passion into finest Wagyu beef for our enjoyment, but some people are hell-bent on turning it into frozen burgers, 'Fast food' if you pardon the pun!  lol

Yes Kev and guess who the people are that fast food appeals to most, yep the lazy people.
Too lazy to make a meal themselves but don't want to be hungry , too lazy to do the hard yards but must be #1.
Pathetic, sad, sorry, oxygen thieves the lot of them.

I'm glad I'm too slow and don't have to watch my times fall off the leaderboard but my league buddy @ORARick who is quick and cooks his own meals is not impressed and was last seen forming a posse.

Its too bad there are always cheats to make the leaderboards seem untrustable, but as long as the driving physics keep feeling this pleasurably good , i'm gonna keep on loving the game, leaderboards or not. :)

Though it sure is nice when you finally see your name in the top 10, and you know you got there through your own skill and practice.

Hello friends! Happy 2016. Thanks to everyone that has sent me screenshots so far. I'm investigating all the IDs I have and anyone caught cheating will be banned. Also caught a few people that have been cheating in the last few days, so they've already been dealt with.

If your're sending me names please include a screenshot of the leaderboard (in-game or on the website) as well as when the event was taking place (if it was an Online Event).

Feel free to PM me here or get in touch on Twitter.

I hope people won't call me cheater if I suddenly mix up in the top 20, because I feel so.

KinstMf and Sgt Kim Jong Gooby are cheaters, i have seen in the leaderboards a 25sec difference with dgeesio & ronmctube, i think it is a fair argument to be banned

First three, maybe 4, are cheaters. ;) Trust me
Trust you?  I have absolutely no reason to doubt you!  Wonder how close my 12th place is to a genuine top 3...?  :)

Those names seem fishy, but I think that 5:49 is probably achievable still if you hotlap it enough. But on some other stages those names have some outrageus times.. Why cant the cheaters just go 100% and set ridiculous times like before  :#

We've all been around long enough to know the way it works inside out.

So, if you are saying forest cheats too @dgeesi0 , then Im claiming my 6:03.135 to be a World Record in the unofficial WRC2 category!  I know I can improve on it too, but think 5.59 would be s##t-hot B)

well has pork run it and extra turbo man ?

some tracks many don't do. i tbh hate Germany and finland. some tracks are okay but when you get quite a few like that top times could be shredded.

there is also was it hotlapped by the top people or just had a go.can be quite a difference to whether someone just ran it casual and hot lapping on form.

The unpredictable surface means you can't simply hot-lap Finland without a bit of 'Hand of God' pressing down on the car.  The faster you go, the more you are in the air, the more you are in the air, the less forward drive you have.  The higher you jump, the more you'll puncture.  More corner speed in the 2010's means more rolls.  Does not compute!! lol

We are nearly a year down the line by now and know all the tricks of the trade that are used by the ropeys.  Knowing both the stages and the physics, it's crystal clear the effect they have on the grip and handling on the various surfaces.  Manipulation of the game is acknowledged as an issue on a weekly basis here or there but the façade by the perpetrators is ongoing, defended and tends to be accepted almost...  It's a really sorry state of affairs, a real poor reflection on the guys involved, but you have to be the bigger person and see the funny side I suppose... lol

I just take pleasure in knowing that I can be on the top end of leaderboards without needing any bum Rookie trainers :)

Top 4?  Interesting claim that 5.50 is, but 5.51 isn't...

I'm actually amazed that 'webmaster' topped the leaderboard with a Hyundai, I can drive it fast enough to roll unavoidably at least 4 times before the first split!
