Gheed said it can probably be improved with even more hotlapping. The top 4 on that screenshot are still known cheaters though, we base this information on leaderboards in every other location. Hackers just seem to suck ass at Finland in general. Last night I beat one by 7 seconds in the 70's class.

its funny that when you look at them times now they arent even quick :p

my first sweetlamb run i thought was good back then with pug 205 t16 was 6:20 now i could do 5:10 with a perfect run. kinda funny.

the thing is the people who are quick in the game and regulars in top times for most know what times can be achieved. whether they choose to push for those times or fancy rerunning them tracks for the millionth time is a different matter.

also the numerous resets for scoreboards/times do take there toll.

rule of thumb is generally any of the fast people who speed run a track who are fast will be within 5 secs often closer. if its more than that and those people have run it well you know its a cheat.some will disagree but it is true.most people who are top ten people will be within hundredths of a sec on each section on long tracks possible to gain a bit short tracks the top times will be within a second. as it shows on tracks like pant mawr.

I am happy to discuss @gheeD , but what, at this point, is a replay video going to add?

V2 physics are right on a knife-edge as far as car weight and grip goes, the game is quite successful in that respect.  

Using a trainer adds subtle (or downright silly) downforce and/or additional gravity to the car you drive.  
The advantages are clear and obvious in Trainer/WR videos':-
Less wheelspin (regardless of surface) so less requirement for driver skill with throttle control, so less rev undulation where the engine is constantly loaded up with no slip.  
More corner grip, less driver skill required to weight transfer on turn in or manage under/oversteer throughout the corner.  
Less bump/rebound on uneven surfaces or after jumps, less driver reaction or correction required.
Less requirement for mechanical sympathy (less airtime means less rolling, puncturing etc though the hard landings can really make a mess!)  
Less requirement for a working knowledge of car setup and its impact on car balance.

& despite requiring far less ability when using a trainer, let me guess, you'll put it down to being 'a better driver'?

Many players aren't pushing V2 hard enough to know where the limits lie, or to then spot the distinct differences in the replays.  Many cheats have gotten so out of touch with the standard gameplay, that what they are passing off as possible, has actually got ridiculous.

Straight from the Horse's mouth (the Hack website that you buy the trainer from).  I haven't bought it, no.  Giving payment details to a Hacker doesn't seem like the logical thing to do.  Plus, it removes the challenge of the game and thats the part I enjoy!

Is there any reason why Codies can't take legal actions to provider which hosts this website? I think it's strong basis to require putting it down.

I honestly don't understand your vendetta against @dgeesi0 and @gheeD , one isn't even that fast so why would he be cheating and another one is fast in real simulators too. It's just practice...

It's easy to spot those who cheat when you can compare side by side a replay run. The turn in would be faster & the racing line will be a tad off. 

When you reach a certain level, there's no point to cheat. If the player is too skilled using a cheat, the stage time would be ridiculous at first glance.

He's hinting an awful lot without pointing fingers, it's what he does. Just smile and nod in his general direction and his random rants will tone down for a couple of weeks until he found another time he cannot match for the life of him. :D

I speculated the WR based on the two guys above me being called out or banned as cheats.

I never suggested the top '5' were cheats, just 4.  I then opened a discussion on how you differentiate between cheat and not cheat when sandwiched by them!

I never mentioned dgeesio' turn-in!  I said the Replay thread turned into a cheat debate within a page, even back in old V1 times!
