My vendetta is 'cheating'.
I haven't named anyone as a cheat, nor will I be.   I am merely having a conversation with some people who seem  defensive of the fact?
You claimed your time as "WR" and said top5 are cheaters, that does pretty much name @gheeD as cheater. And that talk about @dgeesi0 's fast turn-ins was accusing in my eyes.
He's hinting an awful lot without pointing fingers, it's what he does. Just smile and nod in his general direction and his random rants will tone down for a couple of weeks until he found another time he cannot match for the life of him. :D
Be quiet rookie.
When you're quiet, sure thing.

Rookiest of rookies.

Dont pay more attention, he want to have a WR but he cant, so let him alone, he will keep saying that everyone before him are cheaters.
I detect the cheaters if they are from countries where rallying doesnt exist, a chinese is impossible to make a WR i dont know if proper steering wheels are sell there, i only trust in scandinavian or britons times also sometimes in european countries, thats my diy cheater detector
(Obviously watching theyre times also) LOL :p

I dont actually need WR's or to be the No.1 fastest to validate my own ability.
If I have the ability to get close to, match or beat fast players & cheats, its good enough for me!

& its not that I "cant" have a WR, sure its only a download away.  But what satisfaction would I get out of that?  It would be as pointless as posting myself a Valentine's Card (and equally as tragic)! lol

Overcast has the same griplevels as dry conditions in Dirt Rally, Rinus. Try it out in custom event and see for yourself.

It's when it's raining that the grip begins to change.

I also do mind if Codies take a look on the sim approach of Dirt Rally and oblige 900/1080 + softlock or/and a take a look in a locked FFB settings and/or remove the exterior cams.
I hope that if any of the Devs at Codemasters are reading this, they're just thinking "Here is the door dear elitist, now either suck it up and get better or shut the door behind you when you'll be leaving".

Yeah, disappointed with how simplified the impact weather has in the game. It should definitely be more. I mean Wales on a cloudy day has a completely different road texture than overcast or raining. Yet it's "always wet in Wales". Meh.

You may hate me but I often don't even trust Pork and Gheed ;)
I have seen times from Gheed that are quite impossible, like todays daily, but pork's times are pretty real in a good run the times i have seen i can be 4 or 5 seconds off him and I dont even play as near as much he play

Some times in the 2000s class are bugged (the now gone exhaust bug) and haven't been removed yet. Just pointing this out here.

You guys are just stupid now... If some time feels impossible for casual racer it doesn't really mean anything. Even CM has had pretty big flaws in their anticheat detections that throw false flags just because of time...

Pretty much this.

Just because you can't do it doesn't mean it's impossible, it just means that you're slower. Of course, that isn't the answer these people want to hear, so instead they make up some silly theories about cheating and such. I mean, it's easier than putting in the practice to get better, right?

Here are the facts: gheeD is a fast simracer. He's no Huttu, but he's very good on various games, most noticeably of course DiRT Rally. I don't even play this game that much, but I've seen him on action elsewhere. He's good on proper sims such as iRacing, too. Not the best in the world by any means, but he's good. From what I've seen, heard and according to my knowledge, there is no reason (other than good ol' jealousy) to suspect him of anything else than superior driving skills.

QED.

Nice 1st post, welcome to the forum! :)

It happens.  But the last thing someone will do is admit it.  If they do admit it, the only person they will admit it to, is someone else who they know does it.  So A. No one can say for sure that someone else doesn't do it unless B. They are both doing it & both defending it.  Perhaps that's where all this pack mentality and camaraderie is coming from?  Who knows?

I remember you saying this a while back, yet everytime it's overcast,  on tarmac at least, it's absolutely far slippery for me.

Top kek mate, pack mentality comes from Finnish iRacing community that is notoriously tight and works a lot together. We do know each other pretty well and really trust each other to not cheat... We have live meetups with hotlap challenges etc. It would hurt ones reputation quite hard if they were to cheat.

This.

If someone were to cheat, someone else would notice. And we would mention it, you can rest assured on that. Then again, this whole thread and the accusations made are a classic example of a divine fallacy.

Pt 1.  Agree completely, it's not impossible to cheat or it wouldn't happen and it's not that I can't do it, I have no desire to.

Pt 2.  Yes Sherlock, not being fastest, means you're slower.  Lol - well done son!!

Pt 3.  Again, I agree.  Cheating is easier than putting in the practice.  That's why they call them trainers.  Helps rookies keep up!  :)

So you basically took my post and misinterpreted it on purpose? Well done! You would have a brilliant career in politics.

Let me word this in a manner that cannot be misinterpreted: Just because someone is faster than you doesn't mean that person is cheating.

I assume your next argument is going to be something about trolling. I don't care. I'm right, always was and always will be. You probably realized it by know and are going to come up with some excuse how all my claims are invalid because "I can't prove they're not cheating." I don't need to prove it, I'm correct and that's enough for me.

If you still insist on calling someone a cheater, that's fine, but don't do it publicly. "Why not?", you may ask. Because you have no proof either. And as long as you have no proof, you're making accusations without anything to back them up with. That can easily qualify as slander.

Get better or move on.

Lol @ Slander

I agree, I don't need to prove it either, I'm correct and that's enough for me too! :)

Everyone seems to to be getting their knickers in a twist and jumping in to defend their mates.  Yet I haven't accused anyone of anything!! lol

My original question was, if you call out cheaters both above and below you on a leaderboard, it must be difficult to claim legitimacy!  It's still hasn't been discussed or answered in an adult, coherent manner!! You guys would rather queue up to put the boot in me for talking about an elephant in the room.  I don't mind that, but it stinks to high hell of guilt.  Again, that's more an observation than an accusation!!

But I'm bored now.  The discussion has went to pot, it's all cloaks & daggers.

See you lot on the stages!  :)

Actually that was explained for you like page or two ago, names under gheeD that have cheated have some obvious cheat times on different stages, on this stage they aren't that obvious or just sucked. But you have done this for a long time, maybe people just now have gotten full of your bullshit?

@Kakkela Your last activity was somewhere in november. Now we talking bout cheating and more you are suddenly online.  :*
Still won't make me new, I just don't partake in conversations usually and keep to lurking. And this sudden activity isn't about just cheating, but about accusations towards some of my friends. It's just so silly I had to give my opinion about it.

Why people get so defensive about accusation?

I don't get it. Is there some sort of secret exploit no one know about?

I don't usually write into forums and I had pretty much exactly the same reasons as Kakkela. Cheating is a huge problem here and we ought to discuss how to get rid of it entirely. Not waste the whole conversation into an endless loop of throwing doubts about drivers. It just annoys people and takes fun out of the driving

To be fair, I'm personally not that interested in the top times either. I'd love to get a totally dynamic experience, varying surfaces for every rally with a possibility to do a recce run. If it was possible I'd love randomly generated stages. That would really show the differences between "rally" drivers and hotfappers. Though I guess most of the drivers in the top10 would stay there. (yes, warp that however you like).

Even though I think that driving the same stage hundreds of times and perfecting is as good as cheating, I'm not loudmouthing here and trying to make other players look bad. If I didn't think the times were legit I'd try to prove it, not just troll around even when everyone tries to go along with you and show you how they really drive.

You are just being a cunt and not helping anyone or this community.

Cheats are the "****" that aren't helping the community.

Some of the genuine fastest players Iv seen rarely play now because of the cheating F**ktards, putting themselves on pedestals and claiming greatness & patronising other players, sometimes by hiding behind fake accounts.  Most couldn't driver their finger up their pipes!  Why are you and Kakkela even defending something that doesn't affect you both whatsoever?

Console players will soon show how skewed the PC times have gotten... :(

Oh, and make up your mind.  Do we practise and get good, or is that Hotlap cheating:-
Husa said:
Wow, you must be a wonderful person irl :joy: Drive more, whine less and maybe someday you'll get as fast as everyone you accuse of cheating..
