More realistic weather changing. Example Malaysia GP Qualification. Q1 Heavy Rain Q2 Full dry. Session Q1 ends and session Q2 startbetween 2-5 minutes. I think that track cant be full dry like it was now.

Commentary more other drivers. Now they talk only Hamilton and Rosberg. Example yesterday I was 3. with Kvyat and they didn't say nothing about him. Just Rosberg because he was first. Kimi Raikkonen was 2.bu they didn't say anything of him.

The weather system in F1 2012 you guy's nailed it with half the track wet other half dry with a drying line once the weather had stopped. What's the chances of seeing this and a race start from the pitlane with the grid forming up on the track after a technical issue with the car or doing a Pastor (taking somebody out) in qually?

You can already do that. The menu is only there so people with unsupported headsets can use it too.
I have tried this but could not get it to work, maybe because my headset is unsupported, my appologies!

I would like to see increased radio communications added. One specific would be to ask about your teammate. An update would include his current tyres, position, lap times, and sector times. It would also be helpful for that info to be included when asking about the drivers in front/behind as details like tyres aren't always included.

F1 2016 requests
Manual pit lane speed limiter as in 2010
Manual pit box so you go in too hot or too slow your mechanics have to move. Get it right you make time get it wrong you lose time. Don't like the automated animation looks poor and jerky rather be able to drive in. Have this as a option where you can chose in setting manual pits or automated.
SAFETY CAR AND VIRTUAL SAFETY CAR
When cars crash etc. leave them there like in real life 2-3 laps and damaged bits leave on track ie front end wing plate etc.
Better force feedback
Realistic flat spots so you feel it in the force feedback.
More choices of been able to talk to pit crew.
Parade lap and warm up laps so we can go out before the race see how different track was to qualifying and drive through pits and then drive to grid and Grid talk with media, engineers report any problems etc.
Finish race do cool down lap and pick up rubber to make sure car meets the weight limit etc.

Just be nice to have these too

Be able to  do my own celebration's.
Helmet design
Own number on car
Upload your own picture as driver and name.
Have a different engineer in each team and different pit crews. Also have it where how you interact with team makes it a better or worse relationship within the team.

Hi all, am new on here, but have read much feedback on the F1 series. Love this game from the start (F1 2010), but if i have to be critical, i would say that codemasters, you have sat on your hands for 5 years and done nothing with this game, you are not creating a new game each year as you have the platform from 2010 and should have been building a better game each year and making it as realistic as possible. But here we are and can only move forward. i would like to say that 2015 seems to me like  a slap together game that offered not much at all. Graphics were good, the sensation of speed and vehicle characteristics were also good, but so much was missing. Below is what i think should be a minimum realistic expectation.
- A career mode not 1,3 or 5 years but indefinite. Its up to you how long a career you want to build.
- Safety cars, a MUST
-Formation laps , a MUST
-Start the race day or practice or qualifying in the garage, not seated in the car. You can then view technical screens for setup and weather. (weather forecast for the next 3 days. So you can set up for race day. - A MUST
-Realistic damage , punctures and so forth.
Make this a racing game within a game ( as immersive as possible)
-Ability to assist in development of the vehicle - testing off season.
- Debriefing
-you could walk out of the garage on practice days
-own helemet
-Have a manager and see earnings , maybe be able to purchase things like a house or cars,
- Make this a great racing game within a game so to speak.
Basically spend some time developing this and not just building on the previous years which you basically have a head start on, and only creating a quarter of a game. Put some imagination into it and call yourselves developers.
Thanks

F1 2016, need be like this (graphics, HUD, camera). More realistic graphics!
So you find driving with the T-cam is a realistic way to drive F1 cars ?

Well, it's as realistic as sitting in your house and trying to drive a pretend car with a joystick or a $200 wheel and a much narrower field of view than you'd have in real life is ever going to be...

Formation laps and DLC would make cool additions, sure. But in reality we need more basic game modes, we need online practice sessions and we need stable racing online without all these strange anomalies (bubbles, lag spikes etc). At that point we would have a pretty decent game to then expand on with the previously mentioned features.

The only way to drive these is in cockpit mode, basically see what the driver sees, or as close to it. T cam is spectator stuff. Not being narcy, but if you ask for realism then you can only drive in cockpit mode. Otherwise its called irony. My thoughts.

I was training manual shifting and I've got this idea.

Training mode

Trainin mode is like free practice or time trial, but there is just thing for training. You can change weather etc. Training mode there is possibility to watch you stints after pitting. When you are watching replay of your stint you can watch where ideal line was and fix it. Also you can compare you time, speed and gearing with AI and get there alot of information.  Maybe there can be possible that engineer give  you advices like brake, gas, brake, drs etc.

The safety car would be the obvious implementation, but it has to be done right. The three laps it just came out and went back in was poor sometimes. Also sometimes you never actually caught the snake up if you were a little bit behind.

I I think the TV graphics needs to be revisited. The old design team didn't fancy it and believed it cluttered up the screen. Again this is something that can be quite easily be switched on/off.

The F1 game on the PS1 had the TV graphics and that was the classic yellow squares for numbers and didn't intrude with the game play.

Hey everyone, I just put a new idea of mine on this site, here's a link to it:

One thing occurred to me while watching others play F1 2015 yesterday and that is that all AI behave the same way every time they are trying to gain a position or trying to defend. There's no late braking, defensive lines for the corners or mistakes (e.g. running a turn wide). They just drive the normal racing line no matter what (and for that reason probably 95% of overtakes people make are thanks to late breaking). It haven't been a problem for me earlier but after realizing that (can't figure out why it took so long :D) it's pointing out in every video, every race I play etc.

Other thing is that AI thinks that they have to step in to the brake pedal if they are pushed to the kerb. Melbourne and the tracks first corner is a great example of that. AI tries to overtake on the main straight, you are side by side and when the turn comes and then they slow down massively because they are not on the normal racing line. By the end of turn one they are probably 50 meters behind you all because of the fact that they don't know how to react when they are not on the proper racing line.
These factors remove the element of surprise of the game. We all know where AI are going to overtake (mainly in straights) and where it's easy to overtake them (breaking and few poor corners (last turn at Canada and turn after the tunnel in Monaco for example).

I hope for F1 2016 that you create more possible lines for AI to drive and make them a bit smarter to the situation.

  • Custom Grid
  • Safety car
  • Stop go penalty's
  • Virtual Safety Car
  • Manual pit strategy
  • Manual choice of fuel to start the race with like F1 2013
  • Reduce car performance for each assist used
  • Increase engine and gearbox failures for over revving
  • Increase tyre wear and puncture probability every time driver exceeds track limits
  • Custom Servers

Well, I thought a lot and decided to write my own F1 2016 wishlist too.
My "Important" (which features should be a must in F1 2016) list would be this:
  • Improved AI (More race-y and overall awareness a bit better)
  • VSC/SC/Red flag (I think it's a must)
  • Realistic penalties (5 second penalty which can be done in next pitstop, 10s Stop-Go and similar)
  • Weather forecast for the weekend (it could be implemented like a window in the current Live-timing-screen where you could press it and see predicted conditions) and conditions before the race (maybe ask the engineer before the start about the weather predictions)
  • More failures and different types of failures
  • More variation in pit times, possible problems (like problems with taking certain wheel off and similar)
  • Fixed Online mode (the matchmaking)
  • Proper tyre implementation (I'm sure it will be interesting to see how will everything unfold with tyres in 2016 season)
  • Less bugs (lol)
The "Suggestion" (what could be in F1 2016 but not a must) list would be this:
  • Career mode (I didn't put this as must for reason)
  • Co-op/Online Co-op
  • Custom Grid Order/MP Start Grid Reordering (for lobby hosters, would be good for league racing)
  • Switch between pitstop and going back to pits fully/retiring (easy choice for practice, maybe sometimes in qualifying and in race when you want to save engine/gearbox or something has failed in the car)
  • Equal Championship mode switch (you could choose between Realistic and Equal, this could add replayability to the game)
  • Tutorial (Like when you finished setting up name and nationality (if Career mode returns) you could sit into some testing-like, where you could be introduced to Voice-commands, setting up the wheel/controller/keyboard however you like, check maybe sound settings and video settings, introducing the new tyre rules, maybe do some real race testing (5 laps for example)... Just overall that a guy that has just started to learn about F-1 would understand it perfectly, and people who already knows lots of stuff about F-1 wouldn't be annoyed too much with basics)
  • Formation lap (maybe)
  • Some more and different animations, pit area needs to feel more lively
  • Damage improvements (more realistic)
  • Starting the timed sessions (Practice and Qualies) with a few extra minutes of time (like waiting in pit-lane before green light comes)
  • Different car textures for every race (if there is no car texture for specific race use the generic car texture, else load specific textures)
  • All previous tracks available from previous games (Turkey, Valencia, Korea, India etc) in Quick Race mode
  • Testing area where you can mess around with car (like check what is the maximum speed you can get with the car in 8th gear and similar)

Finally, the "wish" list is this:
  • Manager mode (I really liked how F1 Online: The Game was made, it was a different manager type, but if you could improve that it might be a great option to include for SP and MP)
  • Face-scan (adding your face to the game in NBA 2K style)
  • Moving around the pit area
  • Classic content
  • Dedicated servers support
  • More telemetry data
  • Custom gamemodes?
  • Better modding support? (I understand you're not very happy with that but modding adds even more replay value)
That's pretty much the list, but I forgot a few things while I was writing.

Can anyone help I have just received my hard copy of F1 2016 on the ps4 and loving it but for sound I am using my 7.1 Sony headphones and no matter what audio settings I have in the game or audio settings I have in my PS4 audio settings I cannot get the engineers speech to come through to the headphones? The sound goes down for when he is talking but no speech, I can get it through the speaker in my pad but really need it to come through to headphones any ideas or help would be very much appreciated
Thanks John

If I was you, I would post this in the "Technical Assistance" section of the forums - else your question will likely be ignored!

In the game's audio settings (not the PS4 audio settings), select Advanced Audio Settings and check what your 'Radio Output Device' is set to. Ensure it is set to 'Headset', or if that doesn't work, 'Main Output'.

If that doesn't work please create a thread in the Technical Assistance section with as much detail as possible regarding your setup so that we can look into it.
