Apart from the '07 Focus having a 6 speed gearbox, having wipers set to manual and never using them on a clear, sunny stage, results in wipers streaks on the windscreen part way through a stage. One of the things I was hoping to avoid with manual wipers.

Ah. I suspect that's not a bug so much as a limitation of how the game was originally made.
The 'dirt' effects applied to the car textures through a rally will have always assumed automatic wipers running from time to time, so that texture is going to be applied to the windscreen through the course of the stage, just as the dirt is to all the other parts of the car.

I would think it could be resolved by editing the texture map responsible within the car files, but at the cost of the effect never being present, even if the wipers are used.
That would be disappointing if true.  I love little details like manually controlled wipers, it really adds to the immersion.  However, your screen being magically cleaned during the stage somewhat breaks that immersion and means the manual control is pointless.  I would suggest they take it out, and leave it as automatic.

Compare this to the lights - that does make a difference (of course), so it makes sense that you can control them.
It was done specially for people who didn't liked the automatic - like me. So why you can't switch to automatic?

What's the problem to change year in menu from Ford Focus 2007 to Focus 2009?. Version 2007 had another front aero design. Also it had only 5 gears

Because it spoils the immersion.  The auto-wipers can be distracting. Would be nice if dirt actually built up.  It is called Dirt rally after all...
Admittedly I would prefer efforts went into getting the physics right, fixing bugs etc, so this is very minor.

@function9 sorry I wrote about transmission in other meaning. I mean Focus had only 5 gear transmission at all, not only 2006, 2007, 2008 or 2009..Ya Focus 09 had a 5 gear transmission, I know.
Codies are not going to change the grill area to old 2007 version, so why do not they change  just a name in menu, one symbol?
PS Don't tell me about licenses please, it's just a year, even not a part of car...

Guess you can't get an answer then.
Regardless, they can only call it what Ford says they can call it.

Please make the cursor invisible if game's not paused - every stage it appears in middle of the screen. Previously that wasn't happening - it was in the place where I have left it or it was becoming invisible when game was unpaused. This is the only thing I was scared about with mouse support - and it's here.

Mine only comes back on-screen if I am steering violently enough to move the desk with the mouse on it, but that happens nearly every stage!

The mouse really shouldn't be re-appearing in the centre unless it was left there. So I move it to the bottom right and never see it if it appears or not.
Mind you, if it is, then since a lot of people use wireless mice now, could just flick the switch off during a race.

I think it's related to multi-desktop setup.
If I go to windows by moving my mouse to monitor on left, then move the mouse back to monitor with fullscreened game and click once - then leaving the mouse untouched (so it disappears - I'm forgetting about it) cause I'm steering the game with gearbox buttons - then in game when moving the desk the cursor reappears - always in middle.

Ah. I forget that multi-monitor setups are more popular now. Right, that can certainly introduce odd quirks

Posted this to steam also but the wager event doesn't return your wage money if the event ends while you are running it. It says the event has ended and your result can not be submitted but doesn't return the wage money at all.

I got a feeling, that there is more dirt on front windshield withing evry minute of stage (no matter what rally), but outside the range of wipers...
I got manual wipers, so i can swipe whenever i want, but it seems like doesn't clear my windshiel, because it's already clear, but i can see that outside of the range of wipers (like in the corners of windshield) there is more and more drt/mud within every minute.

Am I blind or did something wrong? Or it just doesn work like it should? Anone else encountered the same issue?

Thanks in advance for responses.

Hello. All X evo have the steering wheel on the right side. It is the English version ..? those who we are no English we are not accustomed. It can leave some version on the left side ..? thank great job.
England? As a Japanese manufacturer, Mitsubishi developes right-hand drive cars too because of  left side traffic in Japan.. Same in Australia, Cyprus and yes England
He's talking about rally cars. I've never seen RHD Mitsubishi Evos - all of them was LHD

Missing note(s) in todays daily challenge ( Edit: correction, did not happen in the actual daily event run (that I am doing _right now_, it's paused in the bg) just the custom rally when I was doing some practice runs, and its a square right, not right 2 )  Jyrkysjärvi at about 1/4th of the way through.  "left 6 - 100 through dip, crest jump maybe --- into right 5 long past junction tightens 4",  I can gloss over that the "100" is a "right 6" which is neither here or there, but the missing "right 2" (or at least it's a left 2 when coming the other way iirc) after the crest is pretty bad, on previous runs I've driven hard into that blue sign thinking "where the *bleep* did that turn come from?!"
Or if that turn with the sign is supposed to be a "right 5 long tightens 4" then the note is seriously late, and that's on "normal".

https://youtu.be/72SZsstaycM

Edit 2 - Electric boogaloo:  Yeap, had to go back and check, but again at custom rally in Jyrkysjärvi, night, clear, Ford RS500, professional AI, normal note timing (didn't try others), the copilot goes speechless when that SQ Right is coming up even though it worked fine in the Daily Event.  The corner shows up fine in the visual notes though.

Of course there are also RHD Mitsubishi Evo X rally cars.
Driver: Nutahara
Japanese Rally Championship
Black/ Red Advan Livery

I think there are also RHD Evo X's in the Asian Pacific Raly Championship....

Hi,
my key/buttons binding is not saving at all when I exit the game.
My setup is composed of keyboard keys, Logitech G25 and Leobodnar SLI-M.
I hoped it would have been fixed with v0.9, but it is not the case.
please tell me if I do something wrong or try to fix it, as it is quite annoying to renting everything each time I load the game.
thanks in advance

It's a tricky one. It's probably more accurate to say it's not working how we want it to, but it might be working exactly the way it was programmed to.
Manual wipers is something that's basically been worked in due to user requests being annoyed about wipers going off automatically and at distracting times.
However, the way the game has been coded in how it applies dirt textures to the windscreen has always assumed automatic wipers, so the manual option seems to have introduced some un-intended consequences.
Can it be fixed? I'm not sure. It's very late in development now and it might require more coding than we might expect in order to change it, such as recompiling all the car interiors in the game with new code.

In the main screen of the game, start the game pushing buttons from your G25 instead of keyboard or mouse

Another bad texturing on the dirt side. It accumulates unevenly on the rear of the Focus '07 (funny how this thing happens only on the Focuses), making it seem like the side has some air vent there... really strange.

Roadside puddles do not have a splash sounds and small water splash animations. Since there are lots of puddles on all overcast/wet and rain tracks, this 'issue' is commonly experienced. It has always been like this, but it should be improved for more realism.
