DiRT Rally - Found a Modern Masters Bug? Post it here!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

If you come across any problems with the Modern Masters update, or a bug that might have just slipped through the cracks, let us know here!

Remember that DiRT Rally is in Early Access and we're constantly working on it, so the best way you can help us make it even better is to let us know about the problems here.

Thanks,

Hi! I got stuttering that was there before only now it is worse. It so bad that it is hard to drive when it starts. It also affects my FFB making it feel "boaty / floaty" and weakeans all suspension and tyre spin feedback. It starts after playing one stage or restarting it couple times. Before update, changing my graphic settings did not help with this problem and i still get almost static 60 fps with v-sync.

I have not tested changing graphics yet in Version 0.9

Unplugging my wheel (DFGT) seem to make this problem for better, but not making it go away completely. I will research similar threads.

I can give more detailed info when i am at home.

Other than that great update again!! Thank you

Manual wipers don't work for me I think, or maybe I'm doing it wrong? Playing with X360 controller, mapped the wipers to "RB" and pressing or holding a few sec does nothing, wipers still work automatically like before.
Headlights do work with the button, a quick tap on the button (mapped to "LB") flashes the lights, holding the button down for 2-3sec switches the lights on fully.

Yes, it's a shame  you have to enable the feature of manual switching wipers somewhere in Main menu.

I've found some "old" texture glitches along with a strange one.

Old ones are blacked out textures, probably badly loaded or something along the lines, here's what I mean:

Strange one is a white "stroke" of a kind on the trees. Especially visible when there's water behind them.

I think both the black ones and the stroke ones are AMD driver related. The one with the trees is something to do with them being semi transparent. There have been problems with semi transparent objects on AMD cards before

That would explain a lot, if it weren't for the fact I'm running a GTX670 aka nVidia card :p

hmm, so it is a Dirt thing after all... :| In release notes for the last few AMD drivers there were mentions, that they might cause some texture corruptions in Dirt. I assumed, the black ones were it. Also, since you're on Nvidia, have you sometimes gotten transparent textures? The black ones seem to be universal, but maybe the transparent ones are AMD specific? Most ofthen those happen on Pikes Peak, and you can see through the map in some places, they look like holes, but luckily you don't fall through :D

It's surely not a bug, but the steering wheel in the C4 looks very very small.  B)

England? As a Japanese manufacturer, Mitsubishi developes right-hand drive cars too because of  left side traffic in Japan.. Same in Australia, Cyprus and yes England

Some rally cars are just built differently. Richard Burns and Colin McRae were both British, but they had to drive in the left in some cars.
It's something real rally drivers just have to adapt to.

Nope, nothing of the sort. Only the black "placeholder" textures. They appear at random as well, haven't seen them since v0.7.

Yes, Mitsubishi's Japanese, I know. And also in Spain, France, Germany, Italia..etc, etc drive on the right. I only wonder if also the version with the steering wheel on the left is posible.

No, I can't see that happening.

What is the driver of the Ford Focus 2007 shifting with? Because it doesn't look like he has any use for the paddle behind the steering wheel. Curiously, same problem was in DiRT 3 only slightly different. You can do better than that Codies, I know you can.

The cursor not dissapear automatically when stage starts, at least to me
It disappears after a few seconds of no mouse input, not because a stage has started.
If any mouse input is detected, it won't vanish. After it's gone, any movement of the mouse will make it re-appear.
If mouse sensitivity is set really high, and/or there is a hair/dust near the sensor, it's possible it won't disappear.
Simplest thing to do is disconnect the mouse and see if the cursor goes.
If the cursor stays, problem is with the game
If it goes, problem is with the mouse.
