FMaiso99 48 Posted November 3, 2015 To have the possibility to add cars without licensing troubles, Codemasters can put an advertisment that they are not responsable of cars added by steam workshop, and we can add cars anonimously, so we can have more cars. And codies also can add more cars that they couldnt been able because of licensing troubles by adding them as a user have uploaded it. BTW how Assetto Corsa or rFactor does with mods and licensing troubles? @KickUp
xavivg 0 Posted November 3, 2015 We just need to wait for the finish of the "early access". After that, the game will be more friendly with the mod support, i'm shure about it.Cheers
FMaiso99 48 Posted November 3, 2015 Have just done little researching, and it says that it is legal when mods are non profit, so i just cant see any bad thing to add Car modding!! Please codies
RodgerDavies 940 Posted November 3, 2015 CM have said no to this before, not sure if for legal reasons, licencing or because they don't want to decrypt game files (company policy).
FMaiso99 48 Posted November 3, 2015 Dont really know why, licensing troubles (internet says no), they dont need to allow us to decrypt, just to encrypt it to the game, i already know that in the past they have said no, but i really dont know why, please any de answer just to clarify the thread
bulldog25413 0 Posted November 4, 2015 i believe its in the contracts they have with the car companies that will not allow livery modding, so therefore my guess is no to modding at all. Plus for competitive reasons, a modded car with bs aero, and other physics, would not be a fair field for esports and leagues
