There is no 30fps cap, you can choose between half sync, full sync and unlimited in the launcher. This most definitely is not a sim. Quite honestly, on the wheel, it's reminding of their WRC games. Just throwing it into corners and it sticks. Could be a fun game, but it's certainly not a "full on sim" as they keep marketing it as. The FFB basically tells you nothing about what the car is doing, feels very dead. There's no real difference that I can pick up on between the ice/snow and tarmac. It's a shame, because the Monte stage in the demo is fantastic. Narrow, fast and twisty.

Calling it worst rally game ever is a stretch, but if you're looking for a full on sim, this isn't going to be for you.

@BrySkye might have an interest in SLRE by the looks of it!

In options you can choose half or medium v-sync cap. So you can play 60 fps v-sync locked. About the driving... unresponsive as hell, sliding is a joke in this game (arcadish, no control, feels like it's automatic, or you do it perfect or you don't even steer).

Unplayable.
Wheel input lag is terrible, physics are average at best, sound is terrible but the worst thing by a mile is the stuttering!
How can they release a demo, let alone a game, that has such framerate issues? I just don't understand.
There is only one word to associate with Milestone at the moment: imcompetence.

welp, that was bad. REALLY bad, but I thought the monte environment looked nice. And I liked the training area. I would have liked it more if the framerate wasn't so choppy.

And whats the point of a rewind feature when it cant rewind yourself out of a ditch? I kept looking for the reset button, but I found none.

You have to reset controls in Controls Menu and controls will work.

Tried the demo and I must say - it's nowhere near DiRT. It's playable, but there are many things that are really bad (sounds, performance issues, controls settings, etc). Enough of SL Rally Evo for me.

God bless the ego engine. Any other engine that struggles to generate a realistic rallying handling is a total mess.

RBR is still in term of the most realistic handlings after DR.

It seems like you need 2x970 GTX for a decent 70/80 fps. It's a joke. With far worse graphics than DR.

Things I liked in the demo:
- service screen
- how environment looks

What I don't like:
- flat roads
- everything else

Basically speaking, the cars feel like they have no connection with the road along with handling more like a forklift than a rally car. Input lag wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the stuttering... heck, at 70Hz refresh rate while staying at 72FPS through first part of the stage, it was stutter hell. When it went below 70FPS (on lowest settings to that...) it became literally unplayable.

This isn't a simulator. It's a very bad example of a simcade. Kill it with fire I say. But before you do that, take the service screen to DR xD

PS. Is it me, or the co-pilot sounds like an old grandpa that is about to kick the bucket?

I really thought they would fix the sound at least a little bit before releasing. It really sounds... horrible. Fine that it's hard to reach the level of sound excellence that is DR, but sampling two vacuum cleaners at the same time and using that as engine sound just isn't OK.

The game has British and Spanish languages together with American and Mexican. :D Dialects, in racing game, really?  And no Russian or Dutch, for example. Milestone what's fckn' wrong with you?!

As a fan of the Peugeot 208 I had to make this:

As for the rest of the game i do like the menus, but that's about it. The sounds are horrible.
It's really to bad beacause i drive an Peugeot 106 Rallye and i was excited to see it in a game but this is just too bad to play.

Can't even map my DIY handbrake. It worked with DR out of the box without a hitch.  'Delete local content' worked well though, so that's a plus.

Tried the demo. About 30 minutes of trying to get the wheel to work. You can't just rebind wheel and pedal inputs in a normal way. For the pedals to work, I had to depress the pedal first, then click on rebind, and then release the pedal, that was for both of them. There also doesn't seem to be a way of changing the degrees of rotation. There is an in-game slider, but it only changes the DoR for the in-car animation, not the steering itself.
Also, the game runs like crap, it shows 60+ fps, but stutters like crazy. And also there is some input lag. If you want something arcadey, just go for DiRT 2 or 3, those are way better games in terms of driving feel and performance

Probably because they know you PC guys will rip it to shreds!

Yeah, Milestone should have listened to me the other day...
There wouldn't be much of an issue if they decided to make a rally game that wasn't so sketchy, especially on the PC platform.

Another "interesting" thing happened. After that horrible experience, wanted to play DiRT to feel better again :D But when I launched DiRT, the wheel wasnt responding. The usual unplug-replug didn't help either. In the Windows Game Controlle config settings everything was fine and the wheel was detected there. I also tried with another game and the wheel wasn't detected there as well. The strangest part - after deleting SLRE demo from Steam, the wheel went back to normal
