Managed to pick SLRE up for £6.00 on ps4 today and have spent around 45 minutes with it...

I'm using a G29 on my ps4 (T500 on my pc) and can say without doubt that on ps4, SLRE is a far better console game, than a PC game.

SLRE on console = decent game. (if you get it cheap!)

SLRE on PC = steaming pile of horse poop.

PC is always assumed as a laboratory :)

That sort of sounds like the review Inside sim racing did this week.

*Looks at Witcher 3* I think you should change it to "often" at best, cause definitely not always.

30fps is vomit & it's not decent.  This is wrong on so many level.

Man, what happened to isrtv? Didn't test any Logitech wheels with the game, praising the car models, and can't tell the ps4 runs at very low framerates (they don't seem to know it's locked at 30 on consoles). Didn't really say anything that isn't known. They also claim input lag is minimal and only visual. Look at the segment at about 10:20 showing him playing. Slow it to half speed. The car doesn't respond to his inputs until the ingame wheel moves, which is way behind his actual wheel.

Lastly, it's a very small/minor thing, but if you're going to do a review, use the correct terminology for things. Stop calling stages circuits please.

Some of those stages they showed looked like RBR level graphics. Which for the most part, RBR's graphics are still fine for me. But for a studio release in 2016... Speaking of which, for the latest version of RSRBR, it's got about 6300 downloads.

I just saw a 'Milestone Community Manager' on Steam posting/answering questions.
However it's still the same old copy/paste routine:

"Hi Gamer,

The PC patch is work in progress! As soon as we can we will give you updates! All your feedback are reported to the dev team :)

Stay tuned,

Milestone Team"

It's like one of those rare phenomena. "Oooooh, I saw one!!!" and than he/she disappears again for a while and then after quite some time he/she pops up again.

To be honest that doesn't sound much different than dr steam forums 'community managing'.

There's a reason for that. DR has an official forum. SLRE hasn't got one.

That's not a reason, but an excuse. Many games have 'official' forums, but still have well run and moderated steam forums.

You can now compare Hell to DiRT Rally, if you want to play £6.99 for the privilege: http://store.steampowered.com/app/412080/?snr=1_5_9__405

No multiple controller support still?

Edit:  Nevermind, confirmed in the Steam forums for the game.  Pathetic.

No other features like fov adjuster etc, so the cockpit is far-ish, etc.
So now you see how enjoyable it can be, when the fov is not suitable for your setup and cannot adjuts it? I think this here speaks volumes against your own idea of locked fov.

@RinusRally I understand your frustration with Milestone, but I'm not sure linking your petition to ban a Developer from Steam - in another developers forum is such a smart idea. It could be construed as the Developer endorsing such action.

Might be better to edit your post and link it to the Steam thread you created about it instead. :)

While the game looks kind of okay-ish (great list of cars and tracks), my time with the PS4 demo made this an easy choice. Sub-30fps, near undriveable with the pad and an inferior game engine from a generation ago was headache-inducing after a while. Also knowing Milestones' track-record with dreadfully slow patch releases, I avoided it.

I learned my lesson with RIDE.

Ride was Milestone? Huh, well the DR engine is also about a decade old as far as I can tell, but pretty sure the console version is better optimized.
