Cannot connect to online games? (PS5)

  • Can’t load into online game servers, while my friend can.  Tired over many days, I don’t see error codes often, usually just says can’t connect to server.

Hey, sorry to hear you're having issues

I'd suggest taking a look (and sending your full report) to this megathread, as it should also include NP7 errors. Hoo will also be there to look into issues as he has time.

If you are willing to spend time to fix this issue, try to go through the pages and see if any relevant information has been shared by either an user or a Codemasters employee 🙂

Hi @baron247, your issue looks different to the other NS7 thread as it seems to show a more general failure. Are you able to update the thread with a quick summary of the issue using this template:

  • A detailed description of the issue.
  • Report Code
  • Platform?
  • Game-mode?
  • [ONLINE] The amount of players in your session? If you know the players forum username, please tag as many people who were in your session here.
  • [ONLINE] Were you the host?
  • [PC ONLY] Please post your DXDiag, including the make and model of motherboard.
  • What troubleshooting have you tried? Please list everything you tried.
  • Any screenshots or video of the issue? Remember to add as unlisted if video via a third party. 
  • How do you make the problem happen? Please add a step-by-step guide here so we can replicate and get reported as quick as possible.

The report code can be found in the bottom-right corner of the Options->Settings screen and can be useful for us to investigate certain types of issue.

In addition to the above, it would be useful to know the following:

  • Have you ever been able to connect to an online session?
  • Are you able to connect to our online services when you first launch the game (if not, you will be in offline mode and won't be able to access the Podium Pass)?
  • Are you able to briefly describe your connection type (type of internet connection, how the internet connects to your device, reported NAT type from your game console)?
  • Are you able to launch the game using a different online account / profile to see if that can connect?
