right now im using the racing line (corners) and i only use it for finding the braking point, can we get something similar but just to help us pick out the braking point? it doesnt have to be perfect of course but just a relative area where we should brake like the racing line but without the whole line going around the corner, especially corners where we dont have to brake such as the long swooping left hand turn at sochi

I find the 100m boards are great braking indicators on most corners.
yeah but the braking points change, for weather, high fuel, low fuel, different tyre compounds, exiting the pits  into a braking zone such as australia, or defending where you have to brake a little bit more because you have a tighter line on exit, its alot to account for especially when you never raced in real life or used it often

Have some faith in yourself mate! Turn the line off and just practice a little. After about ten laps you should start to figure out the braking points. Any racing game is massively improved by taking out the horrible green line.

You can tell the braking points in other games by the 'rubbering in' in the braking zone and it darkening the track. It's well done in pCars so you can tell the braking points to within 10m or Si just by the colour of the track. To be honest I can't remember how that looked in this game, I seem to remember the racing line being lighter than the rest of the track.

Mostly I brake at the 100m board or 50 m board. Sometimes I brake at 75 m, estimating it. Otherwise I just use my instincts in where to press the brakes. Example at Singapore: The final sector, I dont use the signs, but I just look at the following corner since I am in cockpit view.
