How to make F1 2022 even more realistic

Recommended Posts

How about this..

At the end of the championship, the race director can arbitrarily overstep or change the rules to make you lose the championship, even when you were dominating the entire race and had a real shot at the title

It wouldn’t be very sportman like or even fun for the players, but it would be more realistic 😜

Imagine

- having more support from your teammate over the season (apart from the last race)
- being allowed to break track limits a million times in Bahrain and then the stewards making it illegal once your rival did it once
- crashing and being saved by a red flag caused by your teammate and your team's junior driver crashing into each other right after
- getting free points in Portugal and Monaco because the team sacrificed your teammate's race for you
- getting a free win in Baku because your rival's tire exploded (and then choking the win away)
- getting a free win in Silverstone after crashing out your rival and getting a mere 10 second penalty
- getting a free win in Hungary because your teammate took out basically all your competitors in T1 (and then choking the win away)
- getting saved from a bigger points loss because of half points being awarded at Spa
- not getting punished for ignoring double yellows at Jeddah
- not getting punished for impeding in Jeddah free practice
- getting your position back 3 times at Jeddah and your rival still being punished with a 5 second penalty on top of that
- rear ending your rival at Jeddah and not suffering any consequences
- not getting punished for impeding in Abu Dhabi free practice
- getting away with taking the lead back by blatantly cutting the corner in Abu Dhabi
- FIA introducing a technical directive against your rival's rear wing after you complained
- FIA slowing down your rival's pit stops after you lost a race (France) due to their faster pit stops
- getting 3 sprint races to score more points over your rivals (all on tracks that heavily favor Mercedes)
- getting an all-destroying monster engine for the last few races
- turning the media against your rival and pushing the narrative that he was going to crash you out to secure the WDC

and STILL losing the championship.

Wow, Hamilton sure was robbed.

Just like Hill was robbed in 1994. I mean, sure, Schumacher spent 25% of the 16 race season without a chance to score (2x DSQ, 2x DNS due to a ban) and Hill won all those 4 races (40 points gain) but Hill was the rightful champion that year and would have juuuuuuuuuuuust about taken the crown without that one crash.

On crashing your rival out at silverstone, this game would either give you a warning or a 3 second penalty never seen a 10 second on in 2021 version lol

anyway no way this would happen(would be fun to have the option though) as too much work for codices they be too busy making another braking point for us to play once then ignore forever more.

also be nice to see double yellow ( red flags too) in game.
