Liaveil 143 Posted September 14, 2016 Second half of Asterisk is much better so far. Seems like they realised people were just seeing it as a cliche anime... it still is but not so much as before! 5 more episodes to go. I dare say I'm enjoying it now. Liaveil 143 Posted September 16, 2016 Oh dammit, I thought Asterisk only had 24 episodes total but E24 ended in a way that there's blatantly a lot more to come yet and now I have to wait for that to release as well now :D That's three series I'm waiting on now.It gets a lot of slack but I'm actually quite enjoying it though. The second season was definitely better.

Syn 2 Posted September 16, 2016 Just finished Parasyte, was literally touch and go the last few minutes whether I was going to rage quit or rejoice. Really enjoyed the story overall. Pacing we pretty dang good too. There were a few plot elements that could have been polished a bit more, but definitely a fun ride.Curious to see if the series gets any more content in the future. 789ifyz 0 Posted September 18, 2016 @Wynterdust I checked the Asterisk War on MAL and found it comes under a couple of genres I make a point to avoid at all costs, so then I went and picked a random show out of my backlog and found that had similar issues, so then I picked another and, @everyone , it seems all right but half the cast has Japanese names and half of it has European sounding names, so now I'm not sure whether to try it subbed or dubbed... suggestions? Liaveil 143 Posted September 18, 2016 It classes as a harem I believe but it strays away from that a bit in the second season. Yeah it's not solely set in Japan, it explains it at the start. I watched it subbed as I couldn't find it dubbed. So that's all I can recommend!

I think I may have been unclear. The Asterisk war came under a couple of genres I avoid no matter what.I checked another series from my backlog and that also had similar issues.I tried a third one and literally half its cast are Japanese and half are Western. It has a subbed and a dubbed version and now I am unsure which to try it in.
Liaveil 143 Posted September 19, 2016 Ah yes. I thought you were just talking about the one. Oops.Watch the first episode dubbed and the second subbed. See which is better.

Syn 2 Posted September 23, 2016 Finished Haikyuu!! Second Season today, just as fun and intense as the first season, but with better character development. I've grown tired of 25 episode seasons/series, but this one really helps you grow with the characters and embrace their struggles. Looking forward to season 3 (and hopefully finishing out this damn school season :) )Now to find a dubbed series again. I'm basically alternating 1 subbed, then 1 dubbed, etc, etc.

There is no third manufacturer.

789ifyz 0 Posted September 29, 2016 I'll just leave this here...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EuyySqI3EA Episode is 12 characters too short... Krillin Owned Count is 12,000 counts too short... Something else is also 12 units too short.
Syn 2 Posted October 1, 2016 Finished Orange today. Solid story throughout, and a...simple (?) ending. Cute all around though had it gone any longer than 13 episodes I probably would have lost interest. I'm interested in the sequel movie, so I'll have to keep an eye out.I felt really bad for Suwa, both in the future as the second choice of sorts, and in the changed past where he pushes aside his own feelings and does his best to make sure they end up together...poor guy.Going to check out 91 Days next week now that it's wrapped up. 789ifyz 0 Posted October 1, 2016 After lots of filler and some 'meh' kind of canon, the final fight of Naruto Fillerpuden aired on Thursday and it's actually really quite decent. Certainly a lot better than I was expecting. I almost wouldn't mind them botching what little's left of the show. I'd still rage if they decided to chuck in another filler arc before the end, though, or even if they added it AFTER the end. Though, tbf, this basically is the ending. Final chapter is really nothing more than random pairings to set up a sequel which, so far, has taken the form of a spin off Manga, 2 movies and a monthly Manga that's basically just a copy/paste of the second of those movies, but with a slightly downgraded art style. Much disappoint.

As soon as I saw the link I thought "This is probably from Clannad, PMMM or Fullmetal Alchemist".The smart thing FMA did is use that story to show you how dark it could go, but rarely actually went that far. It made you on edge while you were watching without actually depressing you too much. This is where it's stronger than, say, Madoka Magica, because that show just spiraled deeper and deeper into misery without any reprieve. In Fullmetal Alchemist, the moments of horror were used sparingly. So you really felt them when they hit.
