Not really delved into the world of anime yet, but might take some of the suggestions from this thread and give it a try.
Cool, welcome.

I have no idea what your tastes may be, but hopefully you find something you like here. The most popular anime tend to be aimed at teens, with the main ones being DBZ, Naruto, BLEACH, One Piece and Fairy Tail (I'd advise to avoid the last one) all of which are incredibly long running series.

Also, pilot episodes tend to have certain... elements, which may be off-putting for some and do fuel stereotypes, but that usually just the first episode.

Personal favourites/recommendations (in no particular order):

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood - one of the few on Netflix plus it's got real quality dubbing. https://myanimelist.net/anime/5114/Fullmetal_Alchemist__Brotherhood?q=fullmetal%20al

Steins;Gate - Also has good dubbing https://myanimelist.net/anime/9253/Steins_Gate?q=steins%3B

Ore Monogatari (My Love Story) - hilarious and surprisingly clean romcom https://myanimelist.net/anime/28297/Ore_Monogatari?q=ore%20mono

Oregairu (My Teen RomCom SNAFU) - Not a fan of romcoms, but liked this nontheless. https://myanimelist.net/anime/14813/Yahari_Ore_no_Seishun_Love_Comedy_wa_Machigatteiru?q=oregairu

Samurai Champloo: https://myanimelist.net/anime/205/Samurai_Champloo?q=samurai

Monster - One of the best shows I've watched. Also, Danniel Radcliff apparently likes it. Apparently. https://myanimelist.net/anime/19/Monster?q=monster

Non Non Biyori https://myanimelist.net/anime/17549/Non_Non_Biyori?q=non%20non%20

Yuru Yuri (Happy Go Lily) - Didn't like the 3rd Season. https://myanimelist.net/anime/10495/Yuru_Yuri?q=yuru%20yuri

Death Note - It's basically a game of wits among other things. I felt it lost some of its charm after a certain something which I won't mention because spoilers, but the greatness of the first half alone is well worth it. https://myanimelist.net/anime/1535/Death_Note?q=death

Fate Series https://myanimelist.net/anime/356/Fate_stay_night
https://myanimelist.net/featured/1683/The_Definitive_Guide_to_the_Fate_Series

Higurashi no Naku Koroni (When They Cry) https://myanimelist.net/anime/934/Higurashi_no_Naku_Koro_ni?q=when%20they%20cry

Gekkah Shoujo Nozaki-kun https://myanimelist.net/anime/23289/Gekkan_Shoujo_Nozaki-kun?q=nozaki

GinTama - Long series, but mostly has self-contained stories with 'arcs' spanning only a handful of episodes.
Good for short bursts. https://myanimelist.net/anime/918/Gintama?q=ginta

Zankyou no Terror (Terror in Resonance) https://myanimelist.net/anime/23283/Zankyou_no_Terror?q=terror

Studio Ghibli

I don't think Watchmojo's anime lists are very good, but this video does have some good ones on it:

Hope you find something you like and enjoy. I haven't really watched a huge variety of shows, but hopefully one of my recommendations proves to be worth your while.

Sad to say I haven't watched much anime in the past few weeks. Finally got a car so now I drive to work. Only takes about 35 minutes in the morning and about an hour in the afternoon, as opposed to 1.5 hours EACH WAY via transit before.

As a result, I don't watching anything on my commute now...

Been watching a few lately but one that's really captured me is Yona of the Dawn. Got, in my opinion, the perfect balance of seriousness and humour and I love the soundtrack and setting. It's only got the first season so far so I'm eagerly awaiting season two.
No idea what to watch next though in the meantime. I'm going to wait for the dub for Dragonball Super so I've narrowed my choice down to Kill la kill, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and Accel World.

Just finished Durarara and found it to be very enjoyable. It was interesting and complex, though the ending felt a bit... 'meh'/'normal'. Not that that's a bad thing. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend it.

I also liked Alice & Zoroku somewhat, specifically the slice of life elements. Felt a tad sad at the end of that one.

Also, new season of Owarimonogatari has started, in case anyone's interested and didn't know. 2 episodes so far.

Has anyone watched Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni.? Sounds like it could be fun...
I've heard good stuff but not got around to watching it yet.

GAMERS is pretty fun as long as you like tearing your hair out over increasingly more frustrating romantic misunderstandings

Watched a few lately, mostly silly ones. Akashic Records was pretty good if a little bit common, Shin Koihime Musou was mostly just humour and was a bit of fun even if it took the **** out of one of my favourite historical eras
Testament of Sister New Devil is... well it may as well be a hentai, not sure I'll be able to watch the second season if that carries on. Best one I've seen recently is Classroom of the Elite. Still ongoing and it's pretty interesting.
Also went and watched Aho Girl... Everything about it confuses me and makes me wonder what I'm doing with my life but jesus christ it's so outrageous that it's hilarious. Definitely one to watch if you need cheering up after a bad day.

I wonder if bumping this just before the 'read only' period starts could get some more people to post here when the "new forum" comes out.
Like many other people, I'm currently watching 'The Rising of the Shield Hero' and 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime'.

Just quoting an age old comment, don't mind me. I just have to say that I watched GAMERS and I still want to punch a wall because a better name for it would just be "Increasingly more frustrating romantic misunderstandings" or "Misunderstandings" in short.

I recently re-subscribed to Crunchyroll as I need more anime in my life. I also like English dubs since I stare at a computer all day and it's the last thing I want to do when I get home from work (reading subtitles that is).

So...I've compiled all of the anime's listed in a thread over at CR into a spreadsheet that anyone can edit/modify.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1y-Be-_mvEtn6DH7GY_kaaIWj76wrqANIyMdyenDqhcw/edit

*note 1: I live in Canada so I've tailored the list a bit to recognize when something wasn't available here.
*note 2: I'm sure there are more titles on the site that we aren't aware of, but this is at least a good start to help organize everything.

If you happen to find ones that are available in Finland, feel free to add FI under the "region" column (just follow the formatting already there) 🙂

Time sure does fly. I believe I wrote that message during the winter break or whatever it is called over here.

"The Slime Anime" ended with a decent ending I suppose and Shield Hero is still going on.

While those two have been going on, I watched through "Punch Line'" and I really liked it as I watched it all in 2-3 sittings. I kind of liked it how I didn't pay enough attention in the start and if I would've, the anime would've probably made more sense on the first time watching it through.

Haven't watched anything since The Rising of the Shield Hero ended, so if anyone here sees this message in the next couple of years (as we are so active in here), reply to this with some anime you want me to at least watch an episode of. I can promise to at least watch an episode of it.

On another note, I took the music files from the PC port of Punch Line and found out that they have 4 full songs sung by the voice actors that were originally used for 5-10 seconds in the Anime.

This is also the biggest rip-off in this planet. They didn't even change the PS4 button images to PC ones! At least it's some 20 hours of gameplay.
