I almost *never* watch adaptations of anime. Although that's perhaps hypocritical of me seeing almost all the anime I watch is an adaptation of a manga. I get very attached to the character designs and seiyuu though, most of the time it would be very weird seeing that story in live action.BTW guys this season is amazing. There's so much good stuff it's pretty much consuming my entire non-working time.

789ifyz
My exams are over, which means binge-watching anime for a week, but I decided to focus on gaming instead.Anyway, anime I've recently watched:Ryuugujou Nanana's buried treasure - A ghost girl is bound to the room where she was killed and spends all day playing video games. She's so good at Virtua Fighter 5 that she can survive a match even after looking away from the screen! Oh, and she's hidden special treasures all over the island of her school and people have to solve puzzles to find them. And it's funny.Seto no Hanayome - A schoolboy's saved by a mermaid and is then forced to marry her against his will and now his in-laws are constantly trying to kill him. It has certain elements I really don't like but is also absolutely hilarious.Oda Nobuna's Ambition - The source of the "Stand Back or I'll Play a Justin Beiber Song" Meme. Started off promising and then it was like 'meh'. There were some interesting bits throughout, but overall I'm not sure if I liked it.Samurai Champloo - It's well known how great this series is. Also, Mugen no Baseball beats Kuroko no Basuke IMO.A couple of Mech anime that I dropped. Casshern Sins (also dropped).Kimi to Boku - first season comical, second more geared towards romance.Natsume Book of Friends - Currently on holdCurrently watching K-On and Naruto Fillerpuden. Reading Noblesse and a couple of Chinese Manhwa. Also need to catch up on Ultimate Spiderman.

Codemasters Staff Britpoint Posted May 24, 2016 Codemasters Staff Share Posted May 24, 2016 Nanana's Buried Treasure is on my Crunchyroll queue! Hopefully I'll get around to it at some point, although it's very slow going. There's so much good stuff currently airing that I'm not having much luck clearing my backlog. Syn
Finished Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! last night. Enjoyed it. It was cute, though some moments were a bit cringe-worthy. Unfortunately the reviews for season 2 are not good at all. I'll probably pass on that for now.Moving on, I'm thinking about starting Flying Witch, it looks great and I'm hearing great things. But I kind of want to stick with ENG dubbed anime for a little bit. I find I'm more engaged during my commutes when it's English. Does anyone know if anything on my "Plan to Watch" list is dubbed and worth watching?http://myanimelist.net/animelist/MySynpai?status=6 I'm not certain about English dubs on these, but if you can find them I STRONGLY recommend the following from your list:- Barakamon- Konosuba (probably not dubbed yet, it's still very recent)- Hyouka- Shirobako.I just finished watching Shirobako for the 2nd time today. It's just brilliant. One of my favourite ever anime. It's takes the story of 'anime production' and makes it into a fun yet dramatic show without sacrificing the sense of realism. Even though much of it is still a more idealistic, romanticised version of anime production than is probably realistic, it still feels believable. Codemasters Staff Britpoint Posted July 8, 2016 Codemasters Staff Share Posted July 8, 2016 On the Shirobako note I started watching New Game today which... is NOT like Shirobako but for game development. >_<As you can imagine that would probably be right up my alley. Instead, it just seems to be your typical cute girls doing cute things show and the Cute Thing in question here is making a game. The main character somehow got a job as a character designer straight out of high school and she can't even do basic 3D. Grounded in reality this one is not!Kinda fun first episode though. I've seen some of Akame ga Kill, but I stopped after a few episodes. It was a bit too grim for my tastes. 789ifyz
After a long time not really watching much and moving from series to series in my backlog and not really finding anything particularly enjoyable, I decided to end my systematic approach and just go with something I really wanted to try, namely Hetalia Axis Powers, and it is now my favourite anime ever until I re-watch one of my old favourites or find something better. One thing that probably won't change so quickly, however, is my new favourite quote: "Pasta~~~!"Also, my sister was watching FMAB and I joined her to re-watch bits of it. Great show. I might just give it a full re-watch soon... actually, there's a bunch of series I want to re-watch, but I also have a HUGE backlog to get through.
