Do you take requests? Could you please do a Stratos with the AlItalia livery?
Sure! I can make one next week when I have time :)

Here's something completely different! I made the stands under the car and the arms that connect the bonnet and trunk lid to the body by myself (for some reason those have been left out of the model). The stands might still need some work though...

To agree with you, those jack stands don't have the release handle. Also looks like the normals are causing the weird lighting, so try flat shading or adding more geometry into them.

Sorry for spamming but here's the last render for this week. Expect some more next weekend!

These things should never be thought of as spam.

Why could codies NOT have fixed the wheel/tires sizes in the game is really frustrating.  It seems to take away from the realism they where after on this car.  I guess because it was old asset that was never corrected?

As Mad Max pointed out, they modelled it after Colin's custom-made Mk2.

Oh, ok, my mistake.  So is the Rothmans the odd one?  Can't find much info on the tire sizes and why.  I know it changes the setup on the car, sure, but what was a common size.  Also it seems that many are run with quite aggressive rear suspension.  They seem to squat down in the rear a lot.  Never got the game to do this no matter how soft I made the rear shocks/dampeners, just to see if it helped or made it more real.

Don't want to hijack this thread, sorry.

Yeah it has Ari's Rothmans livery. I've edited the model by myself to look more like it did back in late 70's/early 80's; smaller tires, removed some unnecessary carbon fiber parts, removed the roof scoop (and replaced it with a flat surface), made the car left-hand drive, changed the mirror to be on the left side only, mirrored the wipers AND made mudflaps. Still some stuff to do, like roof antenna and correct extra lights.

@F2CMaDMaXX Sorry about it being 1080p but it was really late when I made it so I didn't have time to wait for a bigger render. I'll do it in 4K today if you want!

I only need "2K" (1440p) but i don't "need" anything, thanks for rendering these up :)
Alright, I'll do it in 4K today anyway, that car really deserves it! ;)

The Boreham works and Sutton cars normally ran with 165 tires on 13 inch Minilite rims for forest stages and lower and wider slicks for tarmac events, They occasionally used 15 inch for rougher events like the Safari and Acropolis. The in game Escort is modeled on a one off special built for Colin in 2004 and its a port over from the early Dirt series. This was done to keep the Dirt project within a tight budget. It has IRS and the works cars used a live Atlas rear axle with slipper springs, Panhard rod and a five link system with coil over Bilsteins in the rear turrets. Very nice render there, maybe loose the perspex windows and replace with glass for accuracy. Nitpicking .... the wheel arches are sticking out to far and the front arches are more square to the wing, see the photo I posted on page 10.  The rear number plate needs to be yellow. Anything you want to know about the works Escorts just give me a shout.

I remember one RAC, Timo Makinen got it into his head that 15" rims were the way to go. And because it was Timo, Boreham got a bunch of 15" Minilites. Roger Clark and Bjorn stuck with 13"

The inevitable happened at a service point. Timo drove at least one stage with 15" one side and 13" the other!
