Dirt Rally Desktops ....

I have " matt " black wheels are my car IRL .. so I do agree with you which is why I stated they give an " almost MATT " look .. something that's a lot harder to replicate in max and make look realistic...
In my opinion and this is only my opinion , but games these days are all about the shine .. and it's unrealistic .. cars in 99% of games look like they are wrapped in some sort of reflective chrome colour. This is why the Shine on my cars are a bit more subtle and I think a little more realistic looking. But .. to each their own and what pleases my eye wont necessarily please everyone else's

Agreed. I can almost always tell a UE4 engine game just by sheer glossiness alone, it looks super weird. Some people manage to get rid of it, but you rally have to fight it. That being said still, darker colors are more reflective.
As far as the rims goes, I don't know much about Max, but Blender has a facing node that only affects oblique angles, and as such, can affect the glossiness/diffuse/anisotropy, whatever, and help with that actual matte appearance. I could only imagine Max has something similar.

Very Nice like the stance on the car too ... good job . This is exactly what I was.talking about with regards to the shine on your previous render being too high.  You have adjusted it for this render and this looks far more realistic.

So, here's how my render scene looks now :)

Looking pretty good, maybe light's could be a touch brighter, or the floor a touch glossier? Near the bottom and interior are a bit dark, but maybe I'm just starting to nitpick.

I have been editing the materials on Hyundai i20 to make it look good when rendering and well... it's still in progress :) But here's some Polo love in the meantime:

Awesome work @BORDER, i was hoping to do one of these myself but the process seems a bit drawn out and i don't have 3DS Max either. Is there any alternative software which could be used? The reason i'm asking is because i've made my own livery for the Impreza and wanted some decent pictures for above the description when i post it to RaceDepartment. :)

I can't remember how he pulled them out, but you could try Blender. It's free.

Not sure it's the pulling out, so much as the putting in.  Um, that didn't sound the way i wanted it to.

Yeah, i downloaded Blender but there doesn't seem to be a method of importing the models from this game. :/

You need a program called "3DSimED" to export the DiRT Rally models into a file type which Blender or 3DS Max can open (.fbx, .3ds or .dae). Sadly, 3DSimED isn't free though...

Hooray, that's the biggest help i've had so far! Surprisingly i already had a copy of 3DSimED, and so i managed to extort the model in no time! I opened it up successfully with KeyShot 5 and it looks fantastic, but the only problem i have now is that the windows aren't transparent and the tyres are white! Is there any method of solving this problem?

@BORDER @Jepsertti

I hate to beg or and put you guys on the spot, but could someone render these for me?  With the lights, if possible?

I would really really like to get it for tomorrow, I know I am asking for a lot, last minute.

Can they be done with a alpha channel (transparent) background?

I'll try to come up with something when I get home ;) I can't promise anything though because I have to fix my PC once again and possibly reinstall 3DS Max... But I'll do my best!
