SRD_SimVansevenant 863 Posted January 10, 2017 Ogier's test day didn't go so well. Apparently he was a bit too enthousiastic and crashed his car. The left rear wheel was ripped off.
Jepsertti 26 Posted January 10, 2017 I bet Ogier's been trying to find the limits of the Fiesta. It's quite important for a driver to know the limits of the car and a test stage is the best place to find them! :)

gfRally 449 Posted January 11, 2017 Ogier didn't test the limits, the ditch tested the limits, Ogier was just a passenger
Ruben Correa Alves 28 Posted January 11, 2017 Man these cars sound better then they've ever done in my opinion! (since the 1.6 era started) Nice and raw.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJtTOBvLlTk

Nah, that's just the StanceWorks spec Fiesta WRC. Not a fan of the amount of camber though.

Dytut 89 Posted January 11, 2017 Poor Ogier, forced to have the ugliest Fiesta livery.
versedi 39 Posted January 12, 2017 I've heard that it was a suspension failure - that's why he went off. Unconfirmed but reliable source.
Dytut 89 Posted January 13, 2017 Some info about the Østberg/Prokop team:http://www.rallysportmag.com.au/home/wrc/11089-interview-mads-ostberg-on-his-new-wrc-team
Ruben Correa Alves 28 Posted January 13, 2017 Could be a good thing for Ogier, having so many Fords running around. More cars = more data for M-Sport to improve the thing.
Dytut 89 Posted January 13, 2017 Preview show up on wrcplus, quite nice with a lot of interviews with the drivers about the new cars.
KevM 44 Posted January 13, 2017 It'll be interesting to see how the cars fair against one another. The i20 looks to suffer from chronic oversteer, the Yaris sounds gutless & the Fiesta seems fairly unremarkable. My money is on Citroen but that could prove to be wrong also??anyones guess.... Indeed, it's going to be interesting :-)I don't quite agree with you on particulars. From the latest round of testing I feel the i20 looks rather stable, but a wee bit slower on acceleration. Hope they'll get it up to speed as the season progresses. The Yaris, which I thought looked sluggish and jittery a few months ago, actually looks like it's improved quite a bit. Don't think it'll be a contender, but maybe not completely off. The two main contenders in my view are the Citroens and the Fords. Both look to be balanced and I get the feel that the drivers really dare to push them. But then again, slow is fast, so all predictions might as well be words in the wind :-)
Darhour 3 Posted January 13, 2017 That Fiesta looks so delicate and it is pretty nimble and quicker through those corners even though the track is icy and slippery. I am starting to love this season, it is going to be much more interesting with those exceptional models.
Scyy 0 Posted January 14, 2017 Has anyone else had problems with the pay now button on wrc+ not actually taking you anywhere? I've tried with multiple computers and different browsers but still nothing.

Yeah, if your current sub is still active, you have to cancel it first and then pay for the new one.Their system is as stupid as their app which keeps losing my login information despite showing me as logged in. Ironically i have to log off and on again for it to believe my account should have access to the WRC+ content.

So I initially thought that was my issue too but even with it being canceled when it get to the point to either put in my credit card or go to paypal the pay now button just doesn't do anything. It even shows a URL when I hover the mouse over it. It's the weirdest thing.

Dytut 89 Posted January 14, 2017 I did some quick comparisons between Meeke and Neuvilles tests, and it actually looked like Neuville had consistently better corner exit speed, even though it seemed slower. That i20 might be faster than it appears.

tbtstt 2,387 Posted January 15, 2017 I'm not sure I agree with some of your early assessments of the cars: though I do agree with the general consensus that the Yaris looks the slowest of the four.

You would think that would be an easy thing to fix with it being a known issue and all.
