@Fedemaisonnave how do you know it's slower? There was no competition yet, don't make quick judgments. VW was supposed to be slow in first 3 seasons too, and? ;)

Bit suprised about Microsoft...a bit not car-related company ;)
Because Teemu Suninen which was Linked with Toyota and an if the car is good he would have Toyota as a First option because it would be easier negotiations, and he have it as a las option with M-Sport and also any pro driver want to drive the Toyota, Thats why

I was expecting to love the Fiesta more, but I'm not convinced yet. It looks stretched to make the extended track width rather than chunky like the current car.

Shall wait until we see the finished cars before I commit to my fave looking one!

See that's the thing about the increased track, anyone know what the total width increase is?
That prototype pic literally has straight home mechanic arch extenders at the back.

Honestly looks like nearly a wheel width further out.  Cars are too small for that track width without a lot more bodywork, work, to have them look good.

it says in the comment by the uploader that they had a lot of engine problems during the testing, sounds promising..

We've all got to agree they're  a bit late for testing. The engine does sounds a bit weird in some moments, but the speed really seems to be competitive with other factories.

But...

I've got higher hopes for this:

Have your own interpretations, but colinclark's post is kind of gossip in my opinion
Why is it gossip?
Because in fact in 2004 was the last year that Ford was fully commited in its WRC programme, then was Ford WRT, but not taking it really seriously, just getting every year more a partner of M-Sport than its boss, but it Will not happen at least next year, because with Camilli, Tanak or Evans Will be really difficult to Challenger for the win, Elfyn and Ott have some chances in Finland and Corse but the rest of the year Will be tough

I personally think that the post from Colin Clark is referencing the similar look of the cars rather than hinting at how the WRC program is to be run, but that's just my opinion.

I really hope that M-Sport can produce a competitive car to meet the new regulations.

Well I'll be damned, thought Neuville was going to switch. So, the Hyundai primary drivers are all done then (guess Abbring and maybe someone else will get a shot in a fourth car from time to time).

Abbring will go in an R5 I think

This season was more about when Ogier was going to win the title, not if!
Yup. Most interesting part has been to see how, and which, drivers do well in preparing for 2017. Feels like noone but Latvala really tried to go for the championship at the onset of the season.
Think 2017 will be a well needed mental reboot for all drivers. I'm hopeful of a tighter championship at least.
