Nvidia just has an auto-optimise button for the game and a quality vs performance slider.  I normally run optimised, but cranking it right up bumped the fps.  In game, I turned video setting down to CMAA and run pretty much standard High settings.  My monitor is 75hz, so I set game to 74? Is that right?

& the stutters were coming before I upped the settings.  I prefer the higher fps when it's behaving!! :)

Oh, right, the Experience thingy, booo. Also, in my experience, CMAA gives no visual quality benefit, and lags more than 2x MSAA. Just a personal note.

Weather was one of those settings which increases FPS and visual quality when switching to High Quality, unlike Low, heh.
EDIT: aw damn your edit.

Did six of the eight stages, but I need a small break before tackling the last two. My left heel is on fire from all the clutching.
Get yourself a pair of karting or racing boots. The reinforcement around the heel and ankle really helps with that.
Much better than when I was putting a pillow under my heel when I was addicted to TDU and TDU2, playing over four hours at a time.

Control panel doesn't have that. GeForce Experience has game optimisation feature. Completely different thing.

If your monitor is running at 75Hz, you would want about 77FPS lock. But it depends on each monitor. I have an IPS monitor with 5ms input latency, overclocked to 70Hz. Running at 72FPS is butter smooth, no screen tearing, no input lag, no stuttering. On 71 a bit of screen tearing happens while on 70 it's screen tearing apocalypse. In short, you need to see which FPS number does the trick for you.

I may create a thread showing how to improve the responsiveness of the game through driver settings.

Had to retire from the Welsh rally :( :( :(

Was back on my wheel again, and just couldn't get it configured to how I like it. It felt rancid and lethargic.

Lel, I'm not touching those sorts of times unless I get a better wheel.

I have a TM Ferrari GT Experience - cry for me, or give me some good config, for the love of fuck.

Tried looking at Thrustmaster forums?

This wheel is pretty old now, so I haven't found any relevant threads anywhere. Until I can spare the money for a new setup, I'm gonna have to keep wrestling with this pile o' wank.

Yea doesn't get much closer than that. I can't get a good feeling with that car and I suspect it will be even worse in monte so def not over yet.

Actually think rallycameraman might be about to school us both.
Well, that became a fact, So much for the first two places for us lol

200 degrees of steering would definitely help with the Metro

I had to drive sensibly anyway as there's a bug in my version of the game which means I can't use the service area in leagues or online events so did all 8 stages and even had all my lights at the end!

@Rallycameraman It's 270, not 200. And FYI I had to tip-toe, so you're not alone in driving "sensibly". I tried to push a little bit in some places but the Metro wouldn't have it.

It's like the S4, where you hit the cars' limit long before you hit your own.

And your name there would be?
I think it is Raphwatts sorry I forgot that it was different to my codemasters account name.
And added.

Last days for Wales ladies and gentleman, after that it's gonna be the last event for Season 1, and I already have few possible "themes" for the next one, so "stay tuned" for that :p

Maybe this time we should really get more opinions together before creating the new format, I have also given up on this season already...
You made me buy the metro and even after nursing the thing through there were no upgrades ... I'm a little bummed by this.

Well, naturally, that's why I'll be giving those few themes for everyone to decide. I believe if cars and tracks would be set up by discussing about it, then it would not only take longer to set up, but it would generally be more boring. No "surprise" element. Of course, if there will be a certain class that literally everyone want to drive, hey, I'm just gonna make it happen ;)

Also, you can't please everyone. A lot people here actually enjoyed the Metro, and you had an option of using 037 or Manta, so you didn't had to go for it. Another thing, this was more of a test season to see how the length, amount of stages, etc. will work. From my point of view, 8 stages seem perfect, but the time should be extended to 3 days for each event.

Again, if anyone has any feedback, please inform. Without feedback, there won't be changes and this thread is exactly for posting the feedback and discussing about changes. In other words to make sure this League is what most forumers will enjoy.

Completely agree, letting people decide on preset themes might be the best solution, as to feedback, when I gave mine it was laready too late for this season so hopefully I'll be lucky in the next.

As for car choices, almost anything works for me. If possible it'd be good to have 3 cars to choose from. I wouldn't mind if we started at the 60s, and then slowly moved through the cars while mixing them up a bit (it's OK to have one "better" car, then porky can get a challenge to beat the Stratos drivers with a Fulvia :-) ).

8 stages per events feels just right, but increase the time for each event to 72 hours.

I'd also suggest at least one or two weeks pause between each season so it's not always a league going.

Ahh.  Didn't realize it was one a day, oops, couldnt play yesterday as my race net refuses to start it :(
I like the idea of 72 hours each.

Feedback:
I would suggest 7 Stages per Event with a Service area every three. That means a little more endurance thinking during the first 6 and kind of a power stage at last because you go in with a repaired car and don't have to worry for any next stage.

Definatly 72 hours per event , maybe even 96...

For Cars: I like the Group A very much. And 2000's and Grp. N and Group B AWD (Quattro) and with the Polo coming probably 2010's soon.
And apart from awd the bmw e30 is quite nice because its really controllable for an RWD car (unlike the f***in Stratos.... on Ice in Monte...)

Well, shorter event = people can't practice. Fuck the internet issues. That shit is rare anyway.
My problem is shorter event = I can't always participate. If it's 72 hours I'd be able to participate in pretty much all events.
