Forum League

Recommended Posts

Us test folks have another problem. It's a fairly minor one as bugs go, though I suppose its one worth keeping in mind.
We don't get any service areas in online events or leagues. :D
It's not all fun and games!

But yeah, we also shouldn't be using Group B RWD, Hill Climb or F2 Kit cars in any online capacity either.
Porky is dedicated enough to revert back to 0.9 to do his daily events when those cars turn up.

You need to join the league for me to be able to add you.

Yeah, because Manta has an AMD Livery, only reason i did that :D But, i did check my top speed when doing a single comparison run with each on Ourea Spevsi (lost 5 seconds with the 037) and it seemed to be a somewhat slower accelerating car, and the corners are somewhat poop, especially hairpins that love 4WD. We'll see how you do with the Lancia 037.
Ehh... never liked the AMD liveries personally :P Shame we don't have nVidia liveries here, love the one found in Z4 GT3 in Project CARS. The RWD cars will be slower on the gravel stages for sure, tarmac is where they should be the dominating ones. At least in theory.

Yikes, no service areas? Good thing I didn't choose Finland in this season xD And also assuming that it wasn't someone who was using your forum name that joined the league, you're added.
Porky's dedication is sometimes amazing, while sometimes I scratch my head when he says he can't drive the 2000's+ cars fast and still pulls up times faster than anyone else by a huge margin xD I suppose he wants to be flying there, not just floating :D

So I set them correctly, that's a relief. Also, they're talking about this:

Actually, due to Physics version mismatch (Metro is V2, the RWDs are 1.5) the Metro is the fastest car of the three by a wide margin in my hands.
Well, always remember you're running with a keyboard, while the 037 especially is basically impossible to be fast with it. You need analogue throttle and steering. Then again I notice you posted the time with the Manta and are currently leading.

In any case, time to wear the brave pants and go for a dance with Lancia. Trees, here I come xD

PS. I really don't mind paying the engineers, got over 9 mil IGC and 1000 stages on their contracts xD
How the hell you managed to get such amount of stages per contract???! :dizzy:

You don't have to wait for contracts to expire. If you have lots of money, you can just pump it into contracts again and again.
It's basically the only thing to do with money once you've bought all the cars.

I got much the same, 10 mill and loads of stages on the engineers. Basically, I only play Masters championships for over 500 hours :) in game cash is no problem and all cars owned and fully upgraded.

I should probably get a hobby :D

...or try balancing gaming, with working 60 hours per week, a 4yr old & a wife!! :)

In fairness, the 4 yr old part is fine.  She counts me down for the stage start & then colours my face in with a crayon as I race :)

No, of course I know that.. but 9 million credit + 1000 stages per engineer?

A load (or renewal) of stages for a good engineer is 42.000 IGC and it puts, depending on e4ngineer, between 38-42 stages.

1000/40 = 25 renovations/loads

25x42000= 10.500.000 IGC

If we add the 9mil IGC remanent thats around 20mil IGC

If the average (lets be generalists and mix all game modes) prize is 140.000 ... it means he did around 140 EVENTS, not stages; just to reach his actual status.

This requires some time you know? its freaking amazing! Some guys here drive a lot.

@RyuMakkuro, please share with us your statistics: total earnt money, total expense, millage,... all that

PS.: I have around 270h played:
- All cars buyed & fully upgraded
- All champs at masters
- around 900.000IGC
- Engineers contracts always fluctuate between 40 and 0 stages remaining
- I perform "1 run" pikes peak to save IGC when new cars appears
- I spend many time at leagues. Not rewarding but IGC substracting... sigh...

There was also a little bug until about... I think it was 0.7, where if you just retired from all the Masters Championships, you'd rake in almost as much as actually racing the whole championship.
You would actually make a lot more money in less time by doing the Elite championship, retiring from the Masters, and repeating.

I don't really play leagues as they subtract the IGC while nothing's added but since it's a forum league - why not?

Update from Major "In dire need of a diaper".

Game has some issues with mathematics as it seems xD

Pretty surprised I got a second of a lead when I completely screwed two hairpins in which I had to reverse. More surprised that on the second stage, which was pretty darn smooth for my standards with the 037, got less than 0,5s of a lead, putting me slightly over 1s of lead for the first two stages. Metro users are last, as to be... not expected? xD

Same here, I don't do leagues at all basically. Added btw.

Here's my profile: https://www.dirtgame.com/uk/racenet/1458593

I'll update the post with stats in a minute. Yes, 558 completed events. Not a bug :p

Statistics:
Rally Events Entered - 334
Rally Events Finished - 314

Clean Stages - 543
Total Rolls - 123
Total Terminal Damage - 28
Average Damage per Event - 4%
Total Credits Spent Repairing - 1,463,809 CR
Total Credits Earned - 32,695,340 CR

Worth noting is that not all my cars are upgraded, a lot have a one or two upgrades installed. I usually drive only the cars I like, irrelevant of their performance. For example in 70's I have Stratos and Escort fully upgraded, but other two are sitting bare. Group B is almost fully upgraded, I believe only RS200 and Metro need few more % to install the last upgrade.
Also, the custom events seems to be included in the stats, which artificially floats the number of Rally events, as I tend to start a single stage event to check something and then usually retire from it.

Oh and hours played according to Steam - 321 hours.

What are your thoughts on making something similar to two leg system in RL rally?
Small explanation please? I'm not that well versed in the Rally dictionary.

You think I'm going to even remotely try to push it in the Metro knowing I can't repair anything or tweak any car settings over 8 stages and in Greece?
I'm in pure survival mode. My only goal is to simply finish.
I'm not even using the handbrake, since that'd be uber unrealistic :p

Real Life rally is usually separated into two-three-four days of different stages each (sometimes some stages are reused - i.e. in opposite direction like in Rally Poland this year's powerstage (if I remember correctly) was partly in an opposite direction of a stage run in earlier days).
I'll take this rally as an example:
1st day: Shakedown in the morning, Official start in city market in the afternoon, evening's opening special stage.
OS 0SHAKEDOWNTESTOWY – LUBIEWO3,30 KM08:00

CEREMONIA ROZPOCZĘCIA – RYNEK MIKOŁAJKI
16:00
OS 1SUPER SPECIAL STAGE MIKOLAJKI ARENA – 12,50 KM19:00

2nd day: [This is were actual event really starts but the stage time from opening's also taken into account]

SERVICE AREA – MIKOLAJKI
07:15
OS 2GORKLO13,00 KM08:00
OS 3GOLDAP – 114,75 KM09:50
OS 4BABKI – 114,65 KM10:55
OS 5STANCZYKI – 139,12 KM11:35
OS 6BABKI – 214,65 KM14:15
OS 7STANCZYKI – 239,12 KM14:55
OS 8GOLDAP – 214,75 KM16:45
OS 9SUPER SPECIAL STAGE MIKOLAJKI ARENA – 22,50 KM19:05

FLEXI SERVICE AREA B – MIKOLAJKI
19:35

So as you can see each stage is run twice excluding the first one "GORKLO" (which's not always like that, but it happens).
Ofcourse stagetimes are taken from all of them

3rd day is basically samething as second but the stages are taking place in totally different locations.

4th day:

SERVICE AREA F – MIKOLAJKI
08:15
OS 18BARANOWO – 114,60 KM09:10
OS 19POWER STAGE – BARANOWO14,60 KM12:08

SERWIS G – MIKOLAJKI
13:03

FINISHING CEREMON– MIKOŁAJKI MARKETPLACe

14:00

What it changes? You basically can choose if you're going to flat out from the beginning or run the first leg pretty cautions and push in the second one.

I think we already have that incorporated. You're constantly informed about your times, you know other times, you can always save between the service station and dial in some changes to the setup if you're not fully happy with it and try to push it a tad bit harder ;)
Then again if majority would like something like this and would find a nice way to represent it in a season, then it's going to be done. After all, it's a League made by forumers for forumers ;)

Forgot about the lack of service stations. Then again, I'm in 037 with a gamepad in Greece which I'm... not that confident in or even good at. It's kind of pure survival mode for me as well, even though I had only about 7 minutes taken from the first service station xD

Same case as with RoYsToon, you need to join the league for me to accept your application there. So far nothing on the management screen with that name.
