I would've gladly picked the 037 or the manta if it wasn't for the fact that their engine cuts out during heavy braking for slow corners because I can't heel-toe. :D

Yesterday did roughly did the first half of the stages... spins, penalties, dead spectators... simply a mess.

After a week with not playing Dirt Rally I feel completely disconected from the game... I just cant drive nice and properly as I used to. Also, I feel the FFB very weak on the Metro (First time I drive since it is V2).

This evening I have to drive offline a few stages in order to get the feeling back before finishing the other half of league stages.

Man... I´m playing Mad Max game for a while; my brain now only knows how to collect scrap and kick scrotus minions asses :lol: 
Yesterday, when I ran the first shakedown on the league with the Metro I couldnt even understand what was happening. After the 10th shakedown my brain was not capable of couple the speed of the car yet. :( I felt a bit zombie

Conclusion: Mad Max is a brain drainer and life succubus. Dont play it.

How good is the Metro though?  Especially on the gravel!! It's more fun in the corners (esp with 4 inflated tyres) :P

I've just sent a join request. Doubt I'll do the first event as still waiting for the Logitech/thrustmaster adapter to arrive. It's been in the Uk for 2 days now (after flying to Paris and then to Germany) and still hasn't turned up. Hopefully be here when I get home from work today.

ABS solves that issue completely, just so you know :p

It's the wheels locking and the engine stalling so makes sense that abs would fix it :P 
I would have considered the other cars too but I don't see any point driving non v2 cars when the update is around the corner. Nice to see Porkhammer destroy my times for a change lol, idk how he finishes rallies without being careful. He's too damn good.

The wheels are not locking. The engine cuts out because I can't heel-toe to keep the revs up while braking and downshifting.

The revs dropping wouldn't cause the engine to cut out completely though, heel toe is for rev matching not preventing the engine from stalling. I can't see any other reason for it than the wheels locking. 

I mean, not rev matching can lock the wheels, but that's not what you're saying.

Well I don't know what to tell you. I brake for a hairpin, downshift... engine cuts out - but the car is still rolling.

Heel & Toe only rev-matches to keep the rear end stable when down-shifting, if you don't do it, engine braking causes uncontrollable oversteer when you step off the clutch!

Locking the wheels stalls the engine.  ABS assists with that.

I did the same in the Metro, stalled braking hard into a 2 left at 60-70mph, then auto-clutch kicked in and wouldn't let me bump-start the car again.  I had to come to a stop to re-start.  

If Latvala can do it, I suppose there's no shame! :)

I'm still on a mission to get the Metro to 5/5. 
I never used the car in anything outside of custom rallies, up until now. Easily one of my favourite cars though.

Well... fighting for top 10 with Opel  Manta and then my codriver says "izquierda 5"  (left 5) when this corner is "izquierda 2" (2 left)...
 result? Manta into the tree's and 80% of damage....

Remember to buy the car before you start though.
I figured I would just use the league events to upgrade it and see how I progress, but after I fnished the event there were no upgrade updates, went into garage to check what is going on, forgot to buy the car  :D
Now I am just going to skip some rallies and hope for better car choices next season^^

Doh, haha! Nah, I've had the car bought for a while, but I just didn't get around to using it in proper events up until now. I'm just running custom championships until I get the upgrades. I have 2 more to go, so I'll get that done this evening if I get the chance.
