F1 2016 - Internal Testing Details

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

As you’ve no doubt heard, we’re planning a whole raft of things to get you guys involved, and the first step of this is running some internal game testing early in the New Year. Whilst we only have limited availability for this, as valued members of our community, we’d like to extend an invitation to some of you (though we are planning further events in the year if you can’t make this one).

We’d like you to nominate someone (either yourself or someone else) from the forums to come down and do some testing with us. You’ll be able to test the game, talk to us about the franchise, meet the team etc.! We’re planning on last week(s) of January, or very early February, and most likely for more than one day in our Birmingham studio, so if you could be available around then that would be fantastic (obviously, if you all tell me that you can’t do anything until half-way through February, we’ll look into changing it)!

If you’re nominating yourself, we’d need to know your age, general location, availability, what bits of the game you’re interested in the most and why you’d like to come and test with us.

If you’re nominating someone else, we’d like to know why you think they’d be good at coming to help us test.

We’re looking to get this moving as soon as possible, so we’ll give you until the end of the week to get your nominations in! To get your nominations in, you can either reply on this thread, or message me. :)

I would like to nominate @aarava because of his experience in F1 games and I think he would be able to help a lot with the development of the next game. Please make sure he gets in somehow!! :)

Also he has a youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ctwTpHj4bA) - he does give your games a lot of free publicity!

I'd like to nominate myself!
I'm a 34 year old male, I live and work in Coventry so Birmingham is easily accessible for me.
My availability in January and February is good, as long as I get a few weeks notice of the specific dates.
Currently I play the xbox version of f1 2015 with a tx wheel (f1 rim) and t3pa pro pedals. I play both offline and online.

Offline:
I love time trials and 50% races with legend AI. I'm particularly interested in what 'career mode' will look like for 2016.

Online:
I play in a new league (www.sxracing.co.uk), although unfortunately we've been struggling with lag filled races, also I spend a good amount of time in online practice sessions with fellow league racers, working out strategy and sharing setups.

What would I bring if I'm invited:
A mature and respectable attitude with an understanding what testing is. My day job is in architecture so I'm used to things changing / evolving, thinking outside the box and innovating.

For me it's about game immersion, I'm really interested what's being developed for f1 2016 and how you're intending to make the gamer feel as involved as possible

Thanks for your time reading.

Big respect for the decision made here allowing people in the forums a chance as well as youtubers!

I would like to nominate myself as I am very experienced with F1 games and I also live in Birmingham. I have a Youtube channel which I would be able to broadcast my thoughts on the game. I have been playing F1 since the 2010 game and have a vast majority of thoughts to share!

I nominate Alex Armageddon and myself just incase the votes get close!

I am 19 years old from London and available at any time! Travelling to Birmingham doesn't take that long for me by train so that isn't an issue for me.

I am the first ever F1 YouTuber and Motorsport Youtube Director to monetize videos. I'm well known for starting the F1 community on YouTube back in 2009 by introducing F1 2009 Wii Gameplay videos on Machinima, which was the main platform for gaming videos at that time. I have a combined total of 10k subscribers on current gaming channels. I have always given feedback to Codemasters over the years addressing several issues by uploading YouTube videos and sharing it on this forum.

I would appreciate it if I was chosen so that Codemasters would get honest feedback with no hidden agendas, since I've always stayed true to my word, as many of my followers would know.

In all seriousness, I nominate myself and MickeyMoTiOnZ. We're not scared to talk about the faults of the game and if you respect that then we'll guide you in the right direction. I am available Tuesday's, Friday's Saturday's and Sunday's. I am from Basingstoke in Hampshire and I can travel long distance. I would like to find out if there are general overhauls of the game. I'm 17. I would also like to come and test the game as I want to see what improvements are being done and how I can help give feedback to push this game in the right direction.

I'd love to nominate myself to help with F1 2016's progression.

I am 17, live in Central England and my availability during January and February is very good.

As someone who has every single Codemasters F1 game (including F1 2009 on the Wii), I would like to see the F1 franchise take that step further and grow the community with those that play it.

I am an F1 YouTuber and have been for the last 3 years, I have just over 4,200 subscribers and like to play online and career mode. I have taken part in multiple racing leagues and like to have fun on the game with other people. I'm looking forward to a developed career mode and online, with hopefully more game modes to enhance my F1 experience.

I'd like to come and test with you because I have played a lot of F1 games in my time. I feel I have a lot of ideas for F1 2016 and that with the help of Codemasters, could really assist with the production of the new game.

Thank you for your time.

I nominate Aarava to help with the F1 2016 game.
He knows exactly what the franchise needs, more than anyone else out there.
Simple as that.

As much as I'd love to nominate myself, I think that would be unfair because a few people deserve it more than I do.

I'd like to firstly nominate FlyingNirangatang (Niran) because I believe that he is a strong voice in the F1 YouTube community and would be a huge help in assisting the production of the game, as well as him fully deserving this opportunity due to the fantastic, consistent content he makes over at his YT channel.

I'd also like to nominate JustChipmunk (Joe) because of most of the reasons above. I believe that Joe is also a strong voice in the community, and his content is fantastic, as well as Joe's experience in playing F1 games (getting old pal!) and he'd be a great help to assist the development of F1 2016.

It would be brilliant if those two guys could be invited to attend the test event because they would be vital for the development of the game!

I would like to nominate @FNGracing to test F1 2016!
He is an F1 Youtuber and is one of the nicest guys in the F1 community. His channel continues to grow and is sure to be on the biggest channels in 2016. unlike some of the bigger F1 Youtubers, Niran would be able to listen to every bodies ideas and would be honest with feedback as he only cares about making a good game and not making as much money/self promotion.

Hes is a huge F1 fan so and has played all the Codemasters F1 games and has played nearly all of the Codemasters released on PS2,360 and Xbox One.
He's a well rounded semi casual/professional racer who would give feedback for both sim and arcade racers.

His Youtube channel is https://m.youtube.com/user/FlyingNirangatang

and his Twitter handle is @TheOfficialFNG

in conclusion, he is one of the nicest guys in the community and runs one of the fastest growing channels in the F1 community, He has vast experience with racing games and would be more than happy to help out.

I would like to nominate @aarava and @Tiametmarduk for testing because both have a YouTube channel exclusive for f1 content and they do a lot of co-op and career related videos for f1. So letting then test would be a great way to make the game much better

I nominate myself, I come from Spain, 39 years old, Design engineer available the delivery dates, I only play on ps4, the vast majority of time in online mode and only to F1 games (since 2006, and all your saga 2010-2015) Currently to F1 2015, neither Project Cars nor others.

The main reason to check your game is to find the more bugs as possible in order to improve your game.

As I had mentioned before,I would like to be a beta tester with a confidential contract in order to hide your secrets, and make you comments with objectivity. Maybe I don't need to know all of you, but your game.

For instance, I would like to give you some good ideas like that the cameras turn to see the vertice of the corner...

I use to play with Fanatec CSR wheel and Clubsport V1's pedals.

There is one important reason i want to test the game. I need to write a 5000 word essay on any topic for my A-level coursework and i am writing about the codemasters F1 games. Talking to you guys will enhance my project.
My nominations:
Me- I am 16 years old. I live in Bahrain and i am available end of December, early January. The next time i am free will be around Middle of June and then I will be free from July to Early September I am a big F1 fanatic and love racing. imo codemasters f1 games are quite good when it comes to dynamic weather, the best i have seen however, the physics model, online and career mode need some work. These are things we can talk during the test and i can hopefully take the f1 franchise to the right direction.
Aarava and Tiametmarduk
These two are great legends, biggest F1 youtubers. If anyone deserves a chance to test the game its these two fanatics
Noble 2909-A 5 time AOR champion. AOR is a very competitive league. He hasnt won the championship once, he has won it 5 times, an AOR record so far.
xMattyG- Every time noble 2909 won the championship this man was 2nd. He has won a championship himself making him and Noble 2909 the best known F1 drivers till date
FisiFan91-This man deserves it. Sits down edits the AOR races to make highlights, organizes the league and is a fantastic youtuber
