To Answer this and knight2009 the problem was rendering (drawing things on screen) related so affected all game modes. I would go in to specifics but I don't really understand it myself!

ffigueir and PauloRic I know that's a really bad oversight but to change it in a patch was just not possible. I know it seems trivial but changing the monitor screens to accommodate this and fixing the weather system which presently doesn't create the weather for a session until you load in because to facilitate being able to change it on the loading screen was just too big a job. It will be back in 2016.

In a word no because there was no simple way to just take out the broken code because it is tied in to other systems.

Now the good news. We've got a fix which we're looking at internally before sending a new patch candidate over to QA to test.

Why are you continuing spend cash for such stupid/unlogical programmed games??? I bought the last from CM in 2011.... It was a sagely decicion to buy nomore ones!

CM will NEVER be able to create a decent/playable racing-game. They have not specialists in this genre! They are in first place in kidding their money-lenders (not me, but all of you buyer of these unplayable games from CM)... YOU moan regarding this game (F1)? So why are you buying year for year an "updated" version from the "previouses" years? Full of BUGS which they implement in the next versions without eliminate them!? PROMISES such new features etc.... What kind of new features?? And then:"We cannot implement this in this version... maybe next year"... Year for year for year! CODEMASTERS are UNABLE to PRODUCE a decent and PLAYABLE game!! YOU are the "beta-testers" ---> every years!! Are you eyeless???? Boycott for one year this enterprise, then (and this is really not sure if they are able!!) CM maybe will change something in the firm-strategy.... But till then they attained the first target: "TAKE money out of YOUR pockets, as long as possible".... We never will see the game we dream from!!!!

It is more than 3 years that F1  is a bad game , to have a good F1 game the rights must go to another serious company. My last F1 was in 2013, I don't spend 70 euros for that sh...

Really?  You're going to get snippy and throw jokes at your customers?  Obviously, you, and Codemasters has little respect for the industry or for its customers.  You published a broken game, took everyone's money, made false promises you can't/won't keep, and are dragging your feet to make the game what it should be - what you advertised it as.  How dare us customers expect what the advertised product says it is, right?  Your customers expectations are not out of line, but your comment is.  How about a moderator removes that comment, it's malicious.

It's happened before with patches I don't want anything to be rushed this time as it might be the last time they release a patch before F1 2016

It wasn't all that bad was it? Compared to most of us that's pretty tame. They explained what happened, and it does sound like the right decision.

Perhaps its worth Codemasters cross-referencing all the people who fly off the handle and rip into them when things like this happen and see if they have nominated themselves for testing. That way if they get chosen they might understand that these things aren't as simple as they imagine and may start showing a bit more respect
