Braking and handling inconsistency

Is it just me or does anyone else feel that the braking and handling characteristics of their car is inconsistent in duals?

Sometimes my car seems to refuse to brake and/or turn sharply and ends up crashing into a wall resulting in a DNF. It sure seems deliberate. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's probably only when I'm up against a bot (which also seems to be more often than not).  And, I'm not talking about DRS induced failure, like with turns one at Monaco and Spa, this is without DRS enabled.

Happens to me often too. I get it at Monaco first turn when not using drs as well. I never do there anyway. But try and tap it as soon as it’s racing time and try and anticipate if it’s working or not.  
 

But other tracks. Singapore especially. Seems when I’m behind and catching an opponent. I brake, pressing down, nothing happens, bam, hit the wall. DNF. 
 

So inconsistent as you said.

Die gesamten Stadtkurse sind irgendwie unmöglich schadenfrei zu fahren, weil man die überhöhten Geschwindigkeiten schlecht bis überhaupt nicht runter bremsen kann und dazu noch einlenken!

 

Bei den gegnerischen Fahrern hingegen funktioniert das MEGA!

 

Die können sogar noch richtig raus beschleunigen, komisch!
