I believe the game models damage/health of tyres, so whilst they don't technically degrade from us performing burnouts.............. they do take damage, and that is why i believe they sometimes blow with seemingly only the lightest touches.

I made a suggestion a while back that they could change the damage model to need damage within a certain time threshold and/or amount dealt in one go in order to feel more realistic.  At the moment, you could have 3 really large impacts, that get the tyre down to say, 3% health, and then a squirrel sneezes by the side of a caution acute left and the tyre blows that last 3%.

Interestingly enough, i saw that @KickUp answered to someone this week re tyre damage and he said they're working on it :)

Doesn't explain getting a puncture after scratching a snowbank in Monte Carlo... 15s into the stage.

Sure it does, means it had all it's health wiped out in that scrape.  Doesn't mean it's correct, it just means that's what happened.

Well, this event was my masterpiece. Very very few mistakes, a few stalls, but no spins or crashes. Beautiful!

In my opinion let's wait for the league fixes...it doesn't have any sense if it's not fixed yet. Is it?

Obviously :p I set it up so it would last till the fix was deployed. You could see all the events of the season from the start, so I don't really understand from where the surprise comes ;)

Dunno why but I've made an assumption that it's whole season deadline ^^ Alot on my mind lately and I don't have much time to play so I've just taken look if maybe I'll be able to do it.

Ok, few things as I'm setting up the new season:
- Cars should be owned or already upgraded to max?
- new season should start immediately after the experiment ends or give it 24 hours?
- mixing classes in a "competitive" manner doesn't bother anyone, or stick to one class?
- vehicle tuning (aka setup changing) allowed only for first service station and not for rest, or for all service stations?

That's about it for now.

imho:
-Max upgraded cars and no career engineers (equal for all)
-Start the new season right away
-Mix if you feel like it

Well at this point everyone should have all the engineers of the highest level anyway. Not to mention that without them...  you can't really fix a damn thing (regardless of the cars class). But that's just me.

Yay, managed to finish Sweden - I'm really struggling there, don't know, I just can't get the hang of it. Well, second place is good enough.

For the new season:
- Max upgraded cars
- Would be nice if the season starts right away
- Allow tuning for all services
- Feel free to mix things if you want

If I interpreted the patch notes correctly you will get a stable of "standard" engineers if career enginers are disabled in a league. So probably a team of 60-rated ones. Not sure though, if it's just the crew chief at 60 rating then go for career engineers. Agree that all of us should have fully upgraded engineers by now.

- Upgraded to max.
- Immediately, what're we going to wait for?
- I'm okay with mixing, why not compare some FWD with RWD/4WD? It could be interesting.
-  All service stations. God forbid you from setting it in any different manner:

I WANT TO SETUP MY CAR.

To be on the safe side, let's go with career engineers ;)

Same here. I generally am not that good on gravel, but Sweden is basically a spin on one snowbank followed by a spin on the snowbank on the other side of the road xD Shame, when I really like how Sweden is laid out. Need a steering wheel to be competitive there.

Oh, and last thing. I set the checkpoint on only the first stage. If you alt+f4 or just the game crashes... well, start from the scratch. Don't see any other fair way for doing this.

Mixing classes could be interesting. F2 against Group A or early 2000s for example, or Group B RWD against the slower Group B 4WD. Would include some strategic element to the choice of cars.

You're stuck with 1 car for the entire season, remember that.

Oh, and for some reason the website refuses to save the season -_- It's all perfectly configured...

Of course. But you could decide to use a car that is suited more or less to every rally or one that is faster on certain events. For example Lancia 037 versus Audi Quattro/Ford RS 200, or Peugeot 306 versus Lancia Delta Integrale/1995 Subaru.

That's what I meant ;)

Anyway, season is set up. I had to configure everything 3 times, and after the 2nd time I came to a conclusion with @versedi that cancelling the current "experimental" season was the only way for the config to save properly. Sorry to those that wanted their results to be seen.

As previously, season is set in correspondence to the WRC calendar, though this time Sweden is in its rightful place as we had more than adequate amount of time to get acquainted with it. There's a special addition as the very last event, but it won't count to the general standings and is purely optional. But I do encourage everyone to take part, as if it's done rarely, it can be a lot of fun once you learn it ;)
