It was indeed ugly. Struggled to find a setup for the RS200, lost patience (no time for doing Monte Carlo tomorrow) and started. First puncture after about 2 minutes, had it repaired, second puncture in the middle of the stage. Game over.

Disappointing. I really thought I could be first. First in the RS200 class, of course.

Took the Audi as I had a setup for it. Went well, stayed out of trouble and got to the end. Even managed to set a few new PB's.

A piece of advice for the 4 people who DNF'ed on the first stage. Use the Shakedowns. All of them. And brakes. A lot more than you might think you need :D

This only applies if you have ABS turned on.

So that's why all of them were running ABS turned off, eh? ;) (by more I meant how often, not how hard you press it)

I always use shakedowns, but rally is a sport of skill and fortune, so no amount of shakedowns can alter the latter.

But it can definitely help you in getting the hang of the car ;)

I didn't mean the ones who retired, I meant in general. But yeah don't expect to take the stage like in a WRC car.

Yep, with Group B it's more about slowing down than accelerating, as even a small nudge on the throttle will boost your speed to way above the acceptable speed for the corner in those cars, unlike the WRC cars which you can put the throttle down mid corner and don't really care much.

I'll barely make it today before the event ends. I'll go running home just like I did years ago to watch Silverhawks after school

I was used to the car, I just had bad luck. I've almost 400 hrs in this game, so I'm quite familiar with most cars.

Yeah, whilst i haven't driven the Audi much since V2, it really was a silly off that i had, just a minor clip that was magnified exponentially.  (see video above ;) )

No luck this time for me, right out a hairpin and dead. What didn't happen that time with the Mitsubishi happened this time with the Ford.

Don't feel like i will have the self-control to report anything after such a bad SS2. Due to the daylight couldn't see how close my nose is to the inside snowbank. Spun 3 times and HANGED my rear on the opposite snowbank after the spin, 3 near recoveries in 2 splits. Damn. Wouldn't matter so much with a 4WD.. buuut... Manta.

EDIT: Alright, both sunny stages had noticeable time loss compared to average. A PATTERN IS DEVELOPING.

My typical day in Sweden - spins, spins everywhere. Spun on the first five stages, last 3 stages were cleanish. Could've been better but at least I got to the end after my eyes were completely tired out because of the misty and snowy stages (especially after the night w/ snow stage). :)

Okay, this was about survival. Mission accomplished.

Apart from that, not many positives. I can't drive straight in Sweden. Lots of time in the snowbanks, lots of spins, lots of slow but unsteady driving. Glad it's over.

Now for those Opel jokes...

Manages to finish in under 38 minutes while saying that... you sound like Porkhammer at this point xD

Well, I assume I'll have about the same experience or more, as in more spins, probably rolls here and there... ehh... well, snowbanks, here I come.

Well, my bad luck have stricken again. First stage, few spins here and there, generally crappy run, then again, I'm slow at Sweden no matter what, so yeah...
In any case, second stage came. A spin... on the first straight. Moving on. 200 meters later, spin... and a puncture. Had to take the penalty and was over 2 minutes behind the lead time at the finish. At this point I was like "Karma, you serious o.O?". But even that may have been bad luck, this one is just... well, see for yourself.

Two spins; one on SS2 and the other on SS6. The rest was good enough I reckon with the odd misshift and boop into snowbanks.

Quite OK for being me, some mistakes and small spins here and there but no real big moments. A bit inspired from seeing Stig Blomqvist running a quattro E2 live here in Gävle and getting to drool over the car afterwards :-)

Did the first two, was sort of having fun.  Seen the times at that point and remembered why I didn't waste any of my life entering the last rally - retired lol

I
HATE
SWEDEN

HOW CAN I BE SO AWFUL

I'm literally a whole minute behind Ryu. And he got a puncture and piss poor results on the first stages. All I got was spins and rolls and pedestrian manslaughter... Never give up, I guess?

Nearly same story as with Monte, had a terminal crash on SS7 and it was over
