I had to Alt+F4 at the start line on Stage 4, because I don't have time to play any more tonight. I can't remember/wasn't aware of the ability to 'Save and Exit' being removed, so if that gives me automatic retirement I'll be pretty pissed off.
Checkpoint is set to the first stage, so you'll be re-driving the entire thing. Save & Exit is always present at service station. And since service station is at 2nd, 5th and 8th stage... well, do the math how many stages you had to do to get to one.

I didn't notice or know this, with it not having been on the rules page. I obviously knew when the service stations where, but didn't know that save & exit was tied to that. Sigh.

The first four stages were not too bad. Two or three spins, once bumped into a sign, and the setup seemed too soft after I changed it in the first service.

After the second service, with a slightly stiffer setup, I had a stupid slowmotion excursion in SS5 and then two crashes with two punctures in SS6. Limped though SS7, had one more puncture in SS8. Fourth place as consolation. I'll take it.

I did forgot to update the League format part when it comes to checkpoints (fixing this as I type this), but the "Save & Exit" mechanic is how game works, not how I set it up.

Strange, because I've been able to Save & Exit between stages in other leagues.

In other news - only 5 people completed the last event. Huh. Well.... 4 and a half - Ryu's spare wheel finished.

I missed Greece and Finland, silly me! Just started Germany today and whilst I'm not competitive due to my first two stages (a mistake at the very very end and a wrong brake setup [i.e. so strong that the wheels lock up by barely tapping; I ran into some haybales after the first Kreunzungring jump, before the hairpin]), the next two long ones were actually quite nice. I grew a pair big enough to start clutch kicking, and set some quite okay times, in the top 300s and 200s, albeit with a slightly battered car. Hope it gets better from here!

Well, i guess i should have eaten breakfast before doing the league - Sooo many tiny mistakes, i didn't even beat a few of my PB's... which were set with a FIAT.

Welp.

The power advantage of the M3 finally worked in Germany. A mostly clean run, with a few hairy moments and a stupid jump start in the last stage. Maybe I was already celebrating my crashfree rally...

I definitely have to work on my technique in tight turns and hairpins, but second place sounds mighty good right now.

Finished Germany two minutes behind Evilsmurf, but I had a jolly good time!

The Cossie did just as I expected and more; in fact I got brave enough to start drifting with the RWD. Thanks to the weight, I was also able to use the handbrake without crashing and exploding.

I was a second ahead of Evilsmurf going into the last stage, but I completely binned it on a fast left 5 on a cuttable junction that I cut too much. Ended the stage at 6:04 without the front right wheel.

Honestly though, there were lots of highs during this event, notably my 5 second loss to first place on Kreuzungring Reverse. I've just started liking the Sierra, right at the end. Great fun, TL;DR.

1,6s... 1,6 SECOND. ONE POINT SIX SECOND.

I hate that last hairpin on Ruschberg, which has an invisible "wall" around it, so you always have to take it a bit wider than you think... Forgot it this time and that itself cost me 2 seconds.

That is surprisingly close and i avoided the hairpin problem by overshooting every single braking point after 4 stages. :D

Had some sloppy stages but overall I did what I do best. Sorry I haven't been that active lately, I'm addicted to Division. :)

This went surprisingly goddamn well for Wales!

Like ^ that well! Did a 6m 21s 801 on Bronfelen and 6m 21s 501 on River Severn Valley. Very pleased with myself for once.

Just hit me how keybro-driving makes it look like the driver has spasms ;-)

After not having time to finish the last event, I really enjoyed this one, to make up for lost fun!

Second stage was a nightmare though, and I ended up having two offs, one of which had me trying to crawl back up a bank frantically, trying to beat the reset timer!

The rest of the rally was pretty good though. I may have been cautious in places, but it felt good and I had a lot of fun. I doubt I'll ever set a super competitive time because of soft-lock and helmet cam, but I'll settle for being in the midfield!

I actually enjoyed the Stratos in Wales. We arrived at a truce, where it didn't try to kill me unless I tried to kill it. Our bargain was kept, and fun was had!

...and then it's treacherous self reared it's ugly head again and we were back to squirrel hunting.

I see a pattern evolving here... Enjoyed Wales a lot and did some quite competitive times. Had only 3 minor spins, I think. Unfortunately, each one took place in a tight spot and ended with the car pointing in the wrong direction. It felt like ages before I got going again. Apart from that, I was happy with the car and my driving. Too bad it took the first two rallies to understand the M3.
