Another season behind us. @CrazyNevada secured his win in the Season on the last event in Wales. @Snaky115 had a shot at winning only if he would finish 1st and Nevada would DNF, but alas he ended on the 2nd position. My 3rd position would've been 100% sure if I had finished Wales on no lower position than 6th. That was not the case due to a certain meeting. Fortunately for me the only person who had a shot at 3rd position was @Evilsmurf who didn't finish high enough on the last event to snatch that place away from me.

In any case, congratulations to the winners (apart from myself xD ) and good luck to all participants in the Pikes Peak and the next season.

Naturally, there's still the Pikes Peak optional run, this time on the mixed surface. And of course the voting shall begin:
- Mad at Front
- Old School
- Smoking Allowed

As previously, voting will last for 3 days so we can move with the next Season as quickly as possible. Naturally if there are any objections, ideas etc. please inform about them ;)

Grats Nevada in particular and Snaky and Ryu for fighting well!

Once again I vote for Mad at Front! That way I'll have a chance of completing a more than one event ;-)

Hm.. Mediocre gossip skills: ON

Mad at Front: FWD most likely.

Old School: Group B/A most likely.

Smoking Allowed: An event type that will have my engine screaming and my radiator leaking from the start of stage 1.

Mad at Front please.

Yes, thought about it being related to Subarus 555 sponsorship.

PP: Not my favourite playground, as I just can't memorize it. Probably lack of practise. Had a spin and slipped off the road at a hairpin in the first run. Second run was better until one crash and another jolly ride down the hill at a hairpin. Abandoned the run after that.

Those 10 practise runs are really useful. You'll be going through the entire thing, not only first split like on a shakedown, so it's a great way to learn it and practise it. Braking points are most important when it comes to learning Pikes Peak. After those comes everything else.

I just don't have too much spare time. And I'm sort of impatient, too. So the various competitions (online events, leagues, offline championships) are my practise runs. Which of course means I'm much more familiar with the rally stages as I do them more often.

From my own experience, I can tell that I didn't enjoy Pikes Peak up until I learned the layout. From then it becomes a much more enjoyable experience overall. If you'll happen to get some extra free time, you may want to try getting some practise there.

I guess Sweden and Finland would be my priorities then. Can't say I'm really familiar with those events. And maybe Loebs Peugeot will change my perception of Pikes Peak...

Dude has slightly vanished, it will start after he finally arrives and collects up all the votes...
If ever.
Just a random reminder to vote for that now as well

- Mad at Front
- Old School
- Smoking Allowed (mine)

Sorry guys, my SSD run out of NAND memory to write to while the OCZ Toolbox showed 86% life remaining -_- And since that happened on Friday... yeah, I got myself an Intel 520 SSD just now. Fortunately the one that died simply went into read-only mode so I basically copied the drive without the need to install everything. Anyway, that's enough of the "boring" IT rambling.

Voting, yes, I'll sum the votes so you know what will be driven this time:
- Mad at Front - 3 votes
- Old School - 0 votes
- Smoking Allowed - 3/4 votes ( @versedi didn't really made his vote clear, sounds more like explanation than a vote)

I'll try to get in contact with Versedi to make sure what's what. League should start in 10 hours and 21 minutes from the moment I post this.

So I'm the decider here ;)

Let's stick to the Smoking Allowed - voting for it.

I've gave up smoking year and a half ago but these were golden ages in Rally ;)

Ok I'll tip it then, smoking allowed please.
That makes it 5 then xD Well, setting up the League as I type this. Should be up withing 10-15 minutes (it's not as quick as it may seem sometimes -_-)

Also, this time Pikes Peak will be a completely separate event. This way I'll know for sure who ends on which position.

And the season is configured, waiting for the start of the first event.

For those wondering about the meaning of "Smoking Allowed" and the reasoning behind it. Probably the most iconic cars of the Group A are the 555 Impreza, Martini Integrale and Marlboro Evo. While Martini isn't a cigarette brand, it definitely fits into the "18+" category that is at least enforced in Poland, which is most likely why @versedi was so dead spot-on. Naturally the 2000s also have the Martini 555 and Marlboro, however they were quickly banned so the name doesn't fit for entire 2000s class.
Hope that explains a bit.

Seeing everybody else taking the Lancia, I chose the Subaru. Talk about bad decisions... I couldn't find a working setup, the car felt slidy and my driving was equally awful, I have to admit. Numerous little crashes and one reset in the first stage. The second was even worse. Finally, I just couldn't stand it anymore and retired.

I really really hope the car works better on the other events. If not, I'm in for a long long season.

Make sure to take enough food and drinks with you then xD

Personally, the event went... meh for me. I haven't played DR in over a week, so did the Daily, quick stage on Monte with Delta to fine tune the setup (which I adjusted even more after the event anyway) and then went for it. So basically completely out of shape, rhythm and so on. Was 7s behind my PB on Route de Turini and generally was driving a bit too slow, though carefully. 6th stage was a blast though, had perfect slides while going up the mountain on the snow.

Oh, took the Delta since Impreza has a sound that gets annoying for me after few minutes (no idea why, it's nice for the first minute or two) and Escort is just... too slow for any competitive purposes, along with not being the most interesting car to handle. So Martini Delta was the only choice left. Would really love an Evo in Gr. A though.
