DiRT Rally - Found a Winter Wonderland/Version 1.0 bug? Post it here!

I don't even know how to phrase a bug report like this.  Basically, I was doing the monthly, crashed a bit, and then the car looked like this.  Turns out every car suddenly looked like this...

Sweden Stages Bug

The game doesn't include Sweden in the Career Mode championships. Still only shows 5 events instead of 6.

Please can we have some kind of acknowledgment of this from staff, as previous posters have mentioned this but their comments have been buried amongst discussions of various other weird/unusual bugs.  This bug-fix is really fundamental to the finished product for the vast majority of customers (who probably never touch the online side of the game) BUT would only require a very quick bit of code to fix.

I've noticed a couple of times since 1.0 that the game stutters a bit when the split time is shown in the middle of the screen. It's not happening always but it was not happening before at all.

The championships can include Sweden.
The actual bug is that the championships are only 5 events long, but any one of the 6 locations can appear as one of those 5 events, including Sweden.
This applies to normal and custom championships.
(never say something is just a very quick bit of code to fix. Even if its true, there still has to be a lot of testing to make sure that change of code didn't suddenly break something else)

Hi, been playing the game since a few weeks ago. There are two minor bugs I've found since the recent update on Monday. Firstly is the rendering, or lack of rendering, on stages. Certain parts of Monte Carlo, the snow is there in shape form, but is just black, plain black. With the Rallycross, the Junior Sweden track, forgot the name, when looking back in the rear view mirror, it also can glitch into black sections. Sticking with Rallycross, the Subaru WRX Rallycross car, when using Hood Cam, there is a rectangle/box of a slightly different shade that flickers, it's a bit distracting. I can provide footage of these bugs if needed.

They aren't game breaking, but a bit annoying and distracting to see when racing. Love the update, keep up the great work :)

*SERIOUS GAME FLAW* *PLEASE PASS TO ENGINEERING TEAM*

In advanced tuning settings on ALL cars, in the Suspension settings for the Rear Wheels, the Toe Angle slider does the opposite of what the description on the left says it will do. Setting the angle to the negitive degrees will in effect Toe Out making oversteer worse and the description says it will make oversteer Better, and setting the angle to the positive degrees will in effect Toe In making understeer worse. Both of which has the opposite effect on handleing to what that description says it will, but it's the description that needs changing on the Rear Wheel Toe Angle not the effect of the slider to keep it inline with RL toe angles.

It is deeper than that though. The Front Wheel Toe Angle slider is backwards to that of the rear tires. While the effect does match the description for the Front Toe Angles, setting the Front Toe to the Negitive degrees will in effect Toe In making understeer worse (on the Rear Wheel it's Postive Degrees that does this you see it's backwards) and setting the angle to the Positive degrees on the Front Toe Angle will in effect Toe Out increasing oversteer and turn-in. The +/- degrees on the Front Toe is not just backwards from the Rear Wheel, the front's angles are also the wrong way around from how cars work in RL too as they should be set to the +/- like the rear's, which happen to be true to life.

So what needs to happen here? Well the Front Suspension Toe Angle needs to be Reversed in it's effect so that moving the sliders angle Negitive Degrees has the effect on the car of Toe Out increasing turn-in and oversteer (which currently is what positive degrees is doing on the front toe) and vice versa moving the slider to Positive Degrees on the Front should have the effect Toe In increasing understeer. This would put it both be inline with how RL cars work as well as be inline with how the Rear Suspension Toe Angle works. THEN worry about the descriptions on both Front and Rear Toe's which will both need to be altered.

This is a Serious Game Flaw that needs addressing ASAP and should never have gotten to the 1.0 release version. I hope this made sense. Thank You.

I didn't realise Sweden could still be one of the 5 events as I deliberately played through the championship just to check

@BrySkye - I'm 99% certain this bit of code will be an easy fix, based on my experience of creating my own custom championships & messing with AI & car physics etc in GTR2 & Assetto Corsa (plus all my years of programming my ye olde C64 back in the day!).

btw - are the staff aware of the game's inablility to SAVE multiple input device configs ?  I keep having to re-assign my 2nd G27 shifter 4th gear as handbrake every time I start Dirt.  Funny thing is - I actually don't mind having to do this myself as it's no big deal, but recognise that other people may find it annoying.  I assume the problem is caused by the fact I'm using an IDENTICAL input device as 2nd device - people with separate shifters/pedal sets probably aren't experiencing this problem ?

I'm not sure this is a bug but, it's happened a couple of times for me - both prior to and after WW update.

Audio Related: Changing the audio output mode (Flat, TV, Headphones) seems to interfere with SimCommander Telemetry function. Changing it back to default had no affect.

Description: Complete loss of telemetry to Outgage / FFB wheel / SimVibe (Yes, hardware config XML is set correctly, UDP, etc.)
Everything worked fine until I changed the audio output in DR, after that, I have to reset the game profile in SimCommander and I'll have telemetry until I start another session. This only happens with DR, not other titles.

Audio Hardware: SimVibe is using the on-board Realtek sound-chip and game audio uses a SoundBlaster ZX PCIe card.

After the first event, I updated the Realtek audio driver and that seemed to fix the issue but, since WW, it's back again and a clean install of the Realtek driver hasn't helped this time. I've also contacted SimXperience and am waiting for response.

They note the tone of voice of the passenger changes from a section to another, is not the same voice.

Sometimes, if you view the leaderboards and then restart the stage the downloading sign stays on screen. You would be able to ignore it if it wasn't for that spinning logo

A few more things.

The co-driver tells you you are going the wrong way, which is great, but does so also when you are in reverse backing up from a mistake.

This may be old news but I hadn't used these cars previously. The Seat Ibiza's windshield gets foggy after a while (in damp wales), wipers don't seem to help. And the next stage it is fine? Similarly, the 205 Pike's Peak has a conspicuous reflection on its windshield. It's usually not too obtrusive, but combined with rain the resulting visibility is quite poor.

Yeah, a two-ish second pause before the alert would be appreciated; if I get spun around then I do a handbrake 180°, which means driving a few metres the wrong way first, so the co-driver immediately tells me I'm going the wrong way. I know! Patience!

In my game any RX event will load forever and ultimately not letting me play them, even in both career and custom event. Tried reinstalling the game and abandon the RX championships but to no avail. Rally and Hillclimb events work fine though. It has been like this since the update. :'(

Okay I found something else o:) The car upgrading system seems to be non-linear with perks? I had +90% perks for the new Polo for the Daily on Dec. 9th, and received 1/5 upgrade + 40% of upgrade 2. For today's daily (Dec. 11th) I got the remaining perks to bring it up to max at +120%. Checked the garage after the event and I have 5/5 upgrades! Stages were of similar lenghts I think.

Hi - Still getting stuttering with SLI setup on all tracks - I've followed multiple suggestions such as dis connecting mouse and opening .exe file as administrator - no joy!

Any plans to fix this - it wasn't there before mouse input was added

AUDIO BUG: Hyundai i20 anti-lag sounds disappear after a short period of driving in Sweden.

Can confirm this one also on all other locations and all other cars.

And i had another bug, see video, this happend only once after a lot of runs on this and other sweden stages:
